I thought about this the last day or so. Since it is likely that I am the only person here who has been to Gitmo maybe I should lay it out for the ignorant. Gitmo is more than a place we deep terrorists. It is also a training center for the US Navy. Every ship on the east coast goes to Gitmo for refresher training in damage control after a shipyard. It is a deep water port with barracks, homes, shops, recreational buildings. People live there who are from Cuba. They work there and are free from Raul and Fidel Castro (both are still alive as I write this). A lot of money has been invested in Gitmo. Taxpayer money, the kind of money that went to Solyndra and other wasteful "shovel ready" projects. Forgot to mention....it has a nice airport too.
