The lady said X, and WU said she admitted saying the opposite. WU misattributed the lady, and he is therefore a clear unequivocal liar.

It is 101 in how to avoid misattributions in first year student essays.

Check your references. Check them again. And again.

Now, it may be that WU is not a deliberate liar, but amazingly stupid and incapable of rational thought.

I read through this argument. As usual, we've got someone being pedantic (WU) and his brown-nose buddies sucking up to him.

Should we care? I think we should, and i admit this thread has very little entertainment value, but if we don't call out people who are liars, where does that lead?
