When hobbying, I always start with the mind set that one way or another, I am going to get fucked.

I don't see what's so funny or unbelievable about that.

Hmmmm....when I think of a family emergency, I don't think about child care. That's a family 'situation'. An emergency, to me, is when someone needs medical attention. Besides, if a provider can't find a sitter for their kid, just say "I can't find a sitter for my kid". Why sensationalize?

Well, they can't say their grandmother died, they wore that one out in the fifth grade when they didn't do their homework. When I think of "family emergency" it usually involves one of their hooker friends blowing them in to Family and Children Services, or the American equivalent, and they have to meet with a case worker who is on the way to their home to see if they really are prostitutes before they take the children away or cut off the free money.

Or the worthless BF wrecked the pickup truck that she makes the payments on and she can't get to the motel.

Agreed. That's what I say anyways. I have no need to lie to anyone.

Ya know I read this thread over the weekend and thought to myself that it's never happened to me, well guess what, had an 11am date set for this morning, texted her at 10 to see if we were still on , received a 3 page , detailed text back of how she had to rush her mother to the er and was still waiting to hear if mom was going to live or die, I'm leaning towards believing her on this one though! If it turns out that it actually was an excuse, I applaud her creativity!

It's double edged sword too. Us hobbyists gotta take our medicine, cuz God forbid you should doubt their story. That would make YOU look like an insensitive jackass. Well guess what? I'm not buying it anymore. If you wanna play games and give us the runaround, come up with something fresh. And pet emergencies are getting old too, so don't even.

I figure 10% of these claims have merit, so once out of every ten times I get swept under the rug because of these 'emergencies', I'll actually give the provider the benefit of the doubt. Other than that, sorry but I'll take my business elsewhere. I'm slowly but surely learning that despite your great ass or your superior head giving skills, the best providers are the ones who communicate, and treat the provider with a level of respect.

Happy hobbying and providing.
I Have A Disabled Mother That I Care For. When My Mother Calls And Says I Need You, I'm Going To Her No Matter What I Have Planned. I Am All She Has. Family Comes Before Any One Of You, Without Question Or Second Thought.
That Being Said, I Have Canceled A Few Meetings Due To My Need To Care For Her. Believe Me Or Don't, I Could Care Less. My Family Will Always Come First.

My previous regular used to pretend that one of her countless numbers of imaginary "relatives" had unexpectedly dropped dead when she mistakenly and temporarily convinced herself she somehow didn't need my money for some inexplicable reason.

I just assumed she was shamed into fucking her husband or her boyfriend or had to take care of her little monster children and figured that the truth would fit less neatly into her ridiculous lie/construct than the outrageous unrealistic lying.

She also believed she was a fantastic mother and role model to her children despite disappearing under mysterious circumstances on numerous occasions.

I heart hookers.

I have been stuck waiting in a parking lot of a hotel so many times it has gotten frustrating. Loved it when a cop pulled up to me and asked what I was there for since they patrol CC quiet often. Only to be blown off and not hear back from the provider. It's happened from members on the site and backpage(I have found real Gems on Backpage but I don't go there anymore. I wouldn't have found this site if it wasn't for that page after escorts dot com was closed down)I understand the ladies get frustrated also. I had to cancel once on Lexxy because of real life coming up and our schedules never met up again. I've turned more into a lurker lately because the talent in Syracuse just doesn't really interest me anymore. I've driven to Rochester to meet someone only for them to stop texting back after I got off the thruway. It's just not worth the time and hassle recently........

Cancellations happen. It's part of the biz. Count your blessings if that's the worse thing that happens to you.

I cannot even imagine driving 1+ hour for a date just to be blown off. That's horrible.
