In San Francisco and LA, $200 is generally a bargain for an independent. Ultimately the price will be what people are willing to pay. If a provider has enough clients that pay top dollar to meet her income goals, she has no incentive to offer lower prices. The influx of people moving to Houston from the coasts are used to much higher prices, so that might be part of the reason for prices around $200+. I think the price issue occurs when someone is a 10 year old Ford and prices herself as a new Mercedes. If she is a Mercedes, then you pay for that luxury. If a provider has a regular gig and does this on the side, why would she want to see a bunch of dudes at a low price when she can see only a few dudes to hit her number. More dudes, more risk for her. Maybe higher charging providers have to charge more to offset having to fuck old ugly men who are out of shape.
