Actually all of what has been said here is everyone's point of view so no one can be wrong. Sure in the 8 years I've been around I've messed up, been late, had something come up, get freaked out sure it has all happened. Do you know why? I'm not a lemonade stand. I am a human being who has emotions and a life that she lives. I am also not a machine, I am a horrible actress and can't be a sex object in the moment all the time so I have to cancel when I can't optimally preform. That is the jist. I ask all of you this..... Wouldn't you rather me cancel on you than have a bad experience?? Am I a horrible person for not seeing people due to valuing the moment when I can and want to have some fun? This particular thread and experience was circumstantial. But anyone else who chimed in and said I was late or canceled I'm talking to. And like I said it has and will happen because I don't act, I don't fake, I don't lie and say I'm a professional whore and do it all right, I'm a human with emotions not a robot to please.

To the original poster yes you came on here to shame and gloat. You're feelings were hurt and you vented. No one comes on here and whines and cries to the public for attention that didn't want attention and retaliation. As 95℅ of my non eccie associated clients that lurk say "They would have come to you as an adult and not cried on a sex website to get attention."

The complexities of conducting business as an independent hook are similar to those of running a lemonade stand, yes.

It's not a legitimate business, the hooks do not approach it as a legitimate business, and that's fine. Just don't make grandiose claims like you're running a business. And I'm not sure you said or implied that, but plenty of hooks do and it's fucking ridiculous. See your above post, which I see as sincere and genuine, if you're still not convinced and need to know why.as an excellent example.

I actually like the comments coming in here as they are all valid. Yet let me raise the point I had before..... I'll talk towards JB because he put the funny Seinfeld post up. Yes reservations for a car should be held. And the lemonade stand theory sure if you're selling lemonade that's an easy said and done as well. What about selling a human being.....Is that not way more complicated than turning a key or making a drink?

I am not saying cancelling or being late is okay. I'm saying it happens because we are human beings with real life situations. I've been cancelled on many times, their wife got in the way, their kid got hurt or sick at school, they had to stay later at work etc etc....Such is life. And I don't go on a website and whine and cry about it I say this exactly "Life happens let me know when you are free next." Every time. To attack someone for having a life situation happen makes no sense. Being annoyed yeah be annoyed that convenience didn't happen we all do.

But case in point is I'm not a lemonade stand and I'm not a car rental. I am a human being. I have a family and I could have 5 jobs. I am subject to possibly be robbed or have my time robbed.....All of which could affect others. Yes this is a business but no I am not a corporate product that will be the same every time.

Before you can really start to rob people you have to establish yourself as both reliable and unique. Not being a fatbody, you do appear to have the unique part down.

All that stuff you mentioned? Paying customers do not want to hear that shit. Not only is that not our problem, it over humanizes you and spoils the whole hook fantasy which you need to reinforce to trick people into paying you more than you're worth.

Those 8 year old kids running lemonade stands have their own problems too.

If it over humanizes me then let it be so. I am a human being that deserves respect just as you are. I am not an object to be put down or objectified and neither is any other gal here.

I half way agree with this. For me the only time a hook really needs to be ripped is when they develop an entitlement mentality or are themselves aggressive and nasty.
