President Trump said on Thursday that only “three or four” of the United States’ 17 intelligence agencies had concluded that Russia interfered in the presidential election — a statement that while technically accurate, is misleading and suggests widespread dissent among American intelligence agencies when none has emerged.
The reason the views of only those four intelligence agencies, not all 17, were included in the assessment is simple: They were the ones tracking and analyzing the Russian campaign. The rest were doing other work....
...Mr. Trump was also correct about inaccurate news reports. Some, including an article in The New York Times, incorrectly reported that all 17 American intelligence agencies had endorsed the assessment....
...But there is no evidence that significant uncertainty or dissent exists across the intelligence community, simply because not all 17 were involved in the assessment of Russian interference.

Thanks fagboy.... nice to see that the NYT is finally able to identify all 17 intel agencies and recognize how absurd it would be for NASA or the Coast Guard or the Dept. of Energy to be assessing Russian hacking of the DNC.
Now why in the fuck didn't the NYT do its fact-checking 8 months ago when the false DNC talking point first made the rounds of the MSM? Could it be because they desperately wanted to hype and exaggerate and give maximum impact to this story? (17 intel agencies - wow! That sounds irrefutable!) Could it be because they wanted to keep the Russian interference story on Page 1? Could it be because they wanted to sway public opinion and hammer home the subliminal subtext that Donald Trump was not cleanly or legitimately elected as POTUS? Could it be because the fucking New York Times is biased as hell?
Naaaah... that couldn't be it! I guess it would have been too much to expect a responsible NYT editor (oxymoron?) to ask for the names of those 17 agencies, along with proof that each one examined and issued a report on the issue, before going public with the story 8 months ago. We all know today's MSM only fact-check Republicans, never themselves.

What should have been said by both Trump and the reporters is that..... ALL RELEVENT AGENCIES THAT LOOKED INTO THE HACKING OF THE DNC CONCLUDED THAT IT WAS THE RUSSIANS. THERE WERE FOUR AGENCIES RESPONSIBLE. 100% CONCENSOUS.
So when Trump says only 4 of 17, he in fact is telling a bigger distortion. Even though the reporters were not entirely truthful. Their telling left more of the proper takeaway.
