I don't like Bulleit's rye whiskey, but the rest is a recipe for an outstanding Manhattan!

Witherspoon Boubon is fantastic. Locally made with locally sourced ingredients. Price is decent and the single barrel batch is even better than the blended. The distillery in Lewisville also does tours. Also founded by former US Marines.

I have been liking Old Weller Antique lately, I like the taste of the high wheat mash. Another go to for me is Old Grand Dad 114, it's super cheap and has a great taste

M & M'S !
Been calling my Manhattan's that for years - Maker's Mark Manhattan's - M & M'S !
Full class of ice - roughly 3/4 MM - 1/4 sweet vermouth - small dash of bitters - and a couple dash's of cherry juice

Here's a surpise
Did a blind tasting of Pappy 20YO, Pappy 12YO, Blanton's. Medley Brother's ($20 a bottle) and Old Medley (also about $20). The last two held their own against what I consider the best bourbons on the market.

Price often has little to do with quality when it comes to wine and spirits.

Excellent line up there jjj.
That Angles Envy is a surprising one isn't it, way smooth ! Easy enough to go " neat " with.

Lots of people drink Bourbon neat. If you want something smooth, something like Basil Hayden’s would be an easy gateway bourbon to drink neat. If you want something more stout you can always drink bourbon with a splash of water instead of a cocktail or mixed drink. Many feel that a splash of water brings out other flavors in the bourbon.

Best I've Tasted !
After some counseling with one of my favorite bourbon "sommeliers ", I chose this bourbon below. It's pricey but it has the most distinct rich bourbon flavor I've ever tasted. Highly recommend trying it at least once.
A.D. Laws
Four Grain Straight Bourbon
Cask Strength

I dunno but I'd go to Jerrod's over that one.
Anyone tried that blue corn bourbon from Balcones?
