I think it is Greek for 'wife':
 kvetch (kvch) Slang
 intr.v. kvetched, kvetch·ing, kvetch·es
 To complain persistently and whiningly.
 n.
 1. A chronic, whining complainer.
 2. A nagging complaint

Sofia we feel your pain about the 'dreaded thread'. We read many dreaded threADs.

And all this time I thought it would be impossible for someone to put "wife" and "Greek" in the same coherent sentence. Good job, Htowner!

It would not kill us to be nice to HTowner now and then, considering what we put him though.

Never be polite and respectful to a mod. It makes them suspicious because they know it probably means you're up to something.

Huh? I'm usually up to something but I'll always try to be respectful and polite towards anybody--not just the mods, so long as the courtesy is extended towards me. It's the gneiss thing to do.
In fact, the last Mod I remember being disrespectful towards was Dagwood, years ago. He'd act like a condescending tool towards me so it was kinda' fun pushing his buttons and watching him flip his lid. (figuratively speaking, of course)

			Figuratively of course, SFK.
I just cut and pasted from the definition. I just like anything to do with Greek.
I don't really have the luxury of picking on members anymore, but I do miss it.
I just PM Wayward and next thing you know they retire. Funny how that works.

Sure you do, Htowner. Unfortunately you just have to be a bit more selective in choosing your targets because of your having to wear the mod hat. You should know who can take your friendly fire and who can'tTexasGator. Just sayin...

Besides, Mr Happy would agree, Hell, it's no fun if you can't jump in and mix-it-up with the 'common folks' and keep 'em in-check every once in a while. You know, the new regime that's taken over ever since black Tuesday..too out-in-the-open, lonely-heart fools that like to whine about the rates of the ladies while never booking an appointment. It makes speeding off in your go-fast boat with a multi-hour Elite under each arm and a drink in each hand while laughing at 'em all that much better. (or something like that)

Hell, mix-it-up and have some fun.

I hope you are not suggesting the old Gator is immune to my moderation. I will pull every one of his teeth out if he steps out of line. For a few posts that he makes, who is really going to miss him and no reviews. You have been a mod before and know what I am missing so quit rubbing it in.
Pretty good Happense spoken by you though. RIP MRHAPPY . He was a good and opinionated guy.
