That’s one of my favorite additions to a bloody Mary! Just like they make them in New Orleans, with spicy green beans & blue cheese stuffed olives. We will put those to good use!! Lol

Ah, that reminds me, I've got a recipe for something called "Bleeding Mary": all the Bloody Mary ingredients, minus the vodka, mixed together, and frozen into cubes. The frozen cubes are dropped into glasses of vodka and mixed with a celery stick as you drink. The green beans would make an excellent substitute!

Busy weekend in the kitchen...Canned a batch of spicy pickled green beans canned to enjoy in 4-6 weeks; dried a bunch of apples in my new(ish) food dehydrator; made a batch of cereal; and cooked a pan of enchiladas. Also acquired a dozen tamales from a lady selling them via Facebook. I think it's safe to say that I'll be eating pretty well for awhile.

Going to Toronto in a couple of weeks and one of the colleagues I’m going with says he’s going to introduce me to some of the best poutine in the world. I’ll try to post a pic when I get it.

That sounds fantastic! I’m daydreaming about what I’m going to make for Thanksgiving. Or I may not wait for Thanksgiving to make it. I found this and I think I’m going to have to do it much sooner.

I like the way you think. But I can’t rely totally on my judgment when making an assessment for such a big day. You’ll have to come over and judge it also! We’ll call it a Thanksgiving rehearsal. Lol
