Sherry - you make good points about the flu BUT
you forgot to mention:
1 There is a flu vaccination while not always effective - it does prevent and/or lessen the effect when taken.
2. There are medications available to treat flu
3. There are reliable / quick tests AVAILABLE to diagnose flu - not so yet with COVID 19
4. The hospitalization rate for COVID is 10 times higher than the flu
5. The mortality rate is 30-40 times higher for COVID vs flu
AND we have only seen the tip of the iceberg in this country to date - if these drastic measures aren't taken this disease will be devastating
