Yep. When the Republicans have the house senate and presidency, they can add justices. I won’t bitch about it either.

Complete lunacy! The right has not tried to pack the court when they could have. Nor did the Dems of old. Slippery slope that will lead to instability in the courts! The current number of 9 should remain and the lifetime appt. should remain as well.

0b0 - has never read the Constitution and Bill of Rights - and has no clue - not even the Civil Rights act of 1964!!!!
Which BTW -is not part of teh Bill of rights - but an Act enacted in law under LBJ!
FYI - 0b0
It comes with the Teacher's Unions education in the DPST shithole cities where they keep black peoples on the DPST racial identity Plantation! Keeping tyhe black peoples uninformed and dependent - on DPST largess.
Such a shame so many have no clue as to the reality of DPST racial politics!

Don't lie to yourself, you might get a rash
The Demonicrats saw the writing on the wall that multiple SC Judges were going to be coming up for appointment. That is 50% of the reason for their non-stop panic of the last 4 years. The other 50% of their panic was an outsider coming in and putting an end to their grifting and gravy train of lining their own pockets at the expense of America and We The People.
Reminder: It ain't the system that is broken - it's the people in the swamp that are.

Maybe. maybe not. I have no idea what impact the support of the UAW management chain has on their workers. Neither do you.

Of course you do. Remember, the "management" fleeces the workers with mandatory dues, which increase in election years. The "management" chain then invests in their chosen candidate. Why would you delude yourself that they do not expect a hefty return on their investment?

Again, total opinion with nothing to support it. We'll find out very soon.
'According to recent Democracy Fund polling, 83 percent of likely Black voters favored former Vice President Joe Biden, 10 percent favored President Trump, and 8 percent said they didn’t know which candidate they will back.1 Recent Morning Consult polling found almost exactly the same thing — 84 percent for Biden, 10 percent for Trump and 7 percent undecided or favoring a third-party candidate.
So it seems likely that Biden will end up winning close to 90 percent of Black voters, with Trump winning around 10 percent, as experts on Black voting say undecided Black voters tend to consolidate to the Democrat as we get closer to Election Day. If that happens again this year, Biden’s roughly 80-point margin over Trump among Black voters would be fairly typical for U.S. presidential elections.'

What about all the suburban voters, especially women, and older voters who have supposedly moved from supporting Trump in 2016 to supporting Biden?
Biden gains as suburban women and elderly voters turn backs on Trump

Watched fox news last nite, they were talking about the polls.
On black voters, biden 86% trump 14%
This is well within projected estimates of the black vote which is 16% and most will be male.
It doesnt say what kind of black males, I bet its married black males .

Uh, no. Tons of data pointing to it. You just choose to ignore it and I'm OK with that. I've said it many times and frankly, I can't fathom why so many delude themselves with their own obfuscation - Trump does not need to garner 100% of any demographic. I understand ya'lls "conditioned response" in thinking that you think (sic) that Republicans cannot make in-roads into some sacred demographics, while completely ignoring the blatant fact that Trump is NOT and never was a traditional Republican.

You mean the ones that are buying all the guns for the first time to protect their families from marauding hoards of Antif-ags? Or the ones getting their first time concealed carry permits or the ones running the stores out of ammo? Those suburban women? You should drop the Critical Race Theory in lieu of Critical Thinking instead.

What about the other ones?
Oh that,s right, you didn’t look. Merely made up the demographics of the poll you saw for a moment on Fox News.
Great analysis, BP!

I suspect the end number will be around 8%. I’d be surprised if it reached 10 but that’s not impossible. The higher than normal turnout will favor a rise in votes against Trump which will push the 10% number down. Raw numbers will favor Biden.
If Republicans thought that they could get 15-20% of the black vote they’d work really hard to turn the black vote out. The fact that Republicans are trying as hard as they can to suppress the vote suggests they believe that the actual numbers do not favor them.
Ultimately, if Republicans really believed they had the better ideas they’d present them and try to turn out as many voters as they can. The fact that suppression is their consistent strategy, shows they know their ideology is unpopular.
Can’t wait for the Democrats to take the legislative and executive branches so they can fix the court. Republicans blocked confirmations under Obama, rammed through unqualified candidates under Trump and broke every “rule” they claimed in the Obama years as justification for denying confirmations now that they can. Since the new rule is party in control does what the “can” no matter if it’s right or not, that’s the playing field we’re stuck with. I love the likes of The Idiot Crew crying about how bad it will be when the Democrats take the Republicans’ rules up a notch to 11. If the Republicans wanna make the court 100 people, I don’t really care. Elections have consequences.
Oh and to Idiots number 1-3. Lifetime appointments are constitutionally set, the number of judges and justices is legislatively set. The number 9 was set when they last set the number of circuits. A restructure of the court could create new circuits, rotation of justices to the circuit or any number of structural changes. They’ll still have lifetime appointments but might be rotated out of the SC to some lower court every 10 years or so.
Maybe justices need to see some trial practice from time to time to really understand how things work on the ground. I could think of 1000 ways to restructure the federal courts that’d stop them from serving as a presidents political backstop.

How about posting links to the data that supports your opinion as I have done in posting data that supports my opinion.
If you do post information, please understand what is behind it.
FiveThirtyEight did not conduct the polls cited. They do not conduct polls. The polls were conducted by two organizations that specifically targeted Black voters. 538 reported the results of the polls.
Again, if you have ANYTHING to support your POV that Trump's share of the Black vote will be betwee 20 and 30%, please post it.
