Yes Trump beat it. Most people his age do beat it and we don't know how severe his case was. He had the best of care at Walter Reed. In one interview while he was there, I counted 10 medical staff who were tending to him.

The U.K. is shutting back down as are several other European countries. But, as Trump says "We've turned the corner."

The future death rate will probably be consistent with what it is today, but with more cases, more deaths.

All he had to do in order to probably win the election was to follow the guidelines of wearing a mask in public and social distancing He chose not to do so. When he caught the virus, that was looked upon negatively by most voters. How many votes his overall actions on the virus cost him is unknown.

The virus hit early in this year. At that point in time zero was known about the virus and how to stop its spread. In early March Fauci said masks were probably of little use. By late March Fauci, Birx, the CDC, WHO and many other knowledgeable people came out in full support of masks based on better understanding of the virus.

These shifting guidelines may have sowed confusion among the public about the utility of masks.
