Agreed. There are 70 million + (if you buy those numbers, haha) who don't believe there is a need for it.

And yet if this vaccine would have been announced a month ago, you tRumPers would have heralded it as proof of his greatness. Pence already tried to claim credit but Pfizer shot him down saying neither he nor his puppet master had anything to do with their development. So your next best strategy is to claim it's dangerous.

It might be this soon in the game. Apparently Kamala Harris thought so if Trump would still be president. I wouldn't take it regardless who's President with less than a year of research and development.

Pfizer didn't take government money.

Not sure I'd of paid attention to anything Trump held the purse strings on.

But not to worry. The whole point of a vaccine is to provide herd immunity. If the vaccine really is 90% effective and the overwhelming majority of people get it, then Covid won't be able to spread. The R0 (R naught) will finally be below 1. That means that the average person who has it will spread it to less than on person. This means the disease dies away.

At that point, even the 10% are protected because there are so few people who can spread it to them.

This Pandemic is eight months old. I don't think it would be nearly as safe and effective this early. I don't trust anybody on this subject president or otherwise.

I take the flu vaccine every year, and don't believe I've had the flu since I've been getting vaccinated.
I've also had vaccines for yellow fever, cholera, typhoid, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, DPT, Measles, and others I've forgotten about. And never had any reaction besides a red or sore spot on my arm. I don't understand the big deal. I'll be taking a Covid vaccine as soon as I can get one.

Btw, this is one thing Trump did right. We'll have Covid vaccines before we would have otherwise, because his administration has been pushing them.

If you feel confident in taking all these different vaccines by all means take them.

Pfizer was part of operation Warp Speed. Their "executive" misspoke.

I'm sure Pfizer has taken govt money. Even if its like, as you say, every college and university takes govt money.

I do wear condoms though. That's what I'm really scared of in many different ways if I don't. I'm more concerned about catching something from not doing that. That's as close to a vaccine that I will be using. |
Agreed. The flu shot is according to the CDC only 50% effective. According to some European health agencies its only 25% effective.

Here in Houston, Mayor Turner talks about how hard the Hispanic communities are affected by COVID. He doesn't talk about how much worse the COVID infections are in Mexico and how porous the border is.

Chances of dying from the vaccine are the same as from COVID LOL.

They didn't take any money up front. They do have a standing order for like 1.95 billion upon approval.

He may have "done right" however any president should and would have done the same thing. Trump isn't a genius that does stuff that no one else would do.
