Has anyone mentioned Pence?
On the Democratic side, it all depends on Biden. I have said before I don't expect him to run in 2024. If true, it is left to Harris to prove herself over the next 3 years. She has to be regarded as the front-runner at this point in time.

Keep in mind that Haris was the front runner before the actual race started last time too. The more we saw of her the less we liked her. She kind of reminds me of the Hildabeast in that regard.
I like both DeSantis and Scott, as for Pence, of course he's been mentioned, but the only mention of him was for EVERYBODY to say "he hasn't got a fucking prayer" lol

I see the potential of angry voters saying fuck the the Democrats and walking away from them after seeing what a joke the Biden/Harris administrations has been. Trump should be the least of anyone's worries. I doubt he'll even run as an Independent. Then again weird things happen when it comes to politics.

Harris dropped out in December 2019. I don't know if she was ever ahead but she did drop quickly.
As I said, it's simply too early to put any faith at all into 2024 candidates but history shows the VP under the exiting POTUS usually gets the nomination.

What you are predicting in 2024 is what happened in 2020 in the opinion of many.

I think the Democrats will have their work cut out for them.

It will be interesting on both sides. Who do you currently favor on the Republican side?

The thing to bear in mind is... most folks that walk away out of anger aren't likely to turn to the other side, they're more likely to simply not vote. Apathy is powerful in modern era politics.

Some will, some won't. I am a registered Democrat and I walked away from voting Democrat a number of years ago because I can't align myself with this extreme Liberalism that seems to be the Democratic Party. I have to agree with Bambino, How do you know?

I would like to see a Republican candidate who has a good bit of knowledge of the Law, Foreign and Domestic Policy, a good eye for talent to select members of his cabinet and a Personality like Vince Lombardi, lol. I'll key on that.

Trump will be back soon. All this twaddle in this thread doesn’t matter.

(Not all.. there are always exceptions that prove the rule). In general.. those folks, on either side, aren't running to the arms of the other extreme.
Twenty years ago.. different scenario entirely. These days-- both sides are becoming more extreme to their own particular side. The moderates are slowly losing their place at the table.

Obama in '16. VP Biden chose not to run due to personal reasons.
So in fairly recent years the only time the sitting VP has not run for POTUS when the POTUS did not run was in '08 and '16, and we don't know what would have happened in '16 had Biden run.
I agree that Harris is definitely lagging in approval ratings but I still think she is to be considered the front-runner at this point in time.
Harris leads in the betting circles.

And Trump leads on the Republican side:

I didn't say nominated. I said wins.

Harris and Desantis are the 2 I expect to run in 2024. Trump will not.
Anyone else is not one I feel strongly about.
