The mother of two brothers charged in the murder of a Chicago police officer has been arrested after scuffling with police and guards, kicking one of them, while trying to visit her son in the hospital, police said.
Evalena Flores was arrested at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn just before 8:30 a.m. Tuesday after she ran down a hall and confronted Chicago police officers and security guards posted outside the room of Emonte Morgan, Oak Lawn police said.
Flores tried to push by them, demanding to see her son, and kicked one of the guards in the groin, police said. She was arrested and taken to the Oak Lawn police station.
Detectives sought felony charges but the Cook County state’s attorney’s office instead filed misdemeanor charges of battery, resisting a peace officer and criminal trespass, according to police.
Morgan, 21, is charged with fatally shooting Chicago Police Officer Ella French and critically wounding another officer during a traffic stop in West Englewood Saturday night. His brother, 22-year-old Eric Morgan, is facing weapons charges.
Emonte Morgan was shot in the abdomen by a third officer on the scene.
The confrontation at the hospital occurred hours before both brothers were denied bail at separate court hearings. Prosecutors said both of them have made admissions in the killing.

The young girl, on the other hand, did nothing with her life but go to school and serve her community. Maybe you give their lives equal weight, and that’s your right, but I certainly don’t. Cop vs career criminal is a no brainer IMO.

I thought police were trained how to deal with those types of situations without murdering someone? I don't give a rats ass what Floyd's past was, that is one weak argument for trying to justify what happened. By the way where is the Pig who murdered Floyd at right now?

What happened to 'Floyd" - who was resisting arrest , and high on lethal doses of drugs - was a tragedy - and should not have happened, Better to get him transported to a hospital - which was delayed - in part by the Drug induced mania Floyd exhibited (resisting arrest) , and in part due to Chauvin's actions. Floyd was dying t from his lethal doses of ingested Drugs while resisting arrest. .


To tar all Police with Chauvin's conduct - as the liberal DPST's Do - is equally inappropriate - and to Defund, Disarm-Destroy all police in response is illogical, inappropriate, and serves to remove protection for communities who need it most - minorities.



The Defund- disarm-Destroy police - puts lives at risk of violent crime - and will cost far more lives than George Floyd's life
It is Murder - without conscience- on teh part of DPST radicals attempting to destabilize America.

Who tried to justify it? The cop got convicted, which was probably the right judgement. I simply don’t give AF what happens to pieces of shit like Floyd, the world’s a better place with him not in it. The lady cop, on the other hand, was a productive member of society, more so than most. Losing her is tragic.

It wasn’t his past, actually. The toxicology showed him whacked out on all kindsa shit when the event happened. If he wasn’t a *forbidden subject* he wouldn’t be dead.
