Nonsense. We HAD to go into Afghanistan to hunt down al Queda after 9/11. Al Gore would have done the same if he had been President. You were probably one of those libtards who criticized Bush at the time for fighting the "wrong war" in Iraq. Bush kept our Afghan troop presence under 30,000 and made sure the burden was shared with our NATO partners, who invoked Article 5 of the NATO charter for the first time in that organization's history.
Here's a chart for you, 1pitts. Study it carefully. On whose watch did our troop presence in Afghanistan spike? Obama took 9 months to authorize it back in 2009. He couldn't make up his fucking mind. Then he tried to do a "surge" like Bush did in Anwar Province/Iraq. The Bush surge in Iraq was a big success. The Obama surge in Afghanistan failed.
