The telephone number shown is the old "Time & Temperature" number.

When I was a kid we used to call it. It was a local Bank in Grand Prairie and the recording gave you the current time and temperature. That was when we only had the two area codes 214 & 817.

555-1212 with any area code used to be for calling “directory assistance” to get a phone #. It was pre “411”. It is the number you see used in movies, almost anything with 555 is a phone company #
