There was no such thing as free speech - they killed you if you didn't kowtow to the party line. If you did not agree with their ideology than you were in the "wrong." And God help you if they said you were in the "wrong."

I see the same thing happening with the Democratic party. And if someone would stop rtming me - that would be great. It's funny - I've been shit talking in here since 2014. We are in a tough place as a free society right now. My perception is that the Progressive movement wants to be able to control every aspect of American life. where we live, what we eat, the car we drive and the medical care we get and so on. Sadly, there are people who present themselves as Republicans (and so not "Democrat") that seem to willingly play into the Progressive agenda. I stack Mit Romney iknto that pile, there are so many others.

When a life-long traditional FDR/Kennedy/Johnson liberal such as Bill Mahar sounds like he is a conservative . . .that emphasizes just how far-off to the openly socialist left the so-called "Progressive" movement has gone. Thr scary thing is that I believe that "they" know exactly where they want us to go.

The only violent death was from a gunshot to the head of an unarmed woman from a capitol police officer.
