uhhhh? Whats on their helmets? All the merchandise with a native American? First Nations councils and members consider the terms "Brave" "Chiefs" to be a blood thirsty term when used in this context. Along with the toma hawk chop and similar chants at sporting events.
The Cleveland teams name "Indian" was always a misnomer and came from the racist chris columbus!

This makes great sense to me. The word "chief" actually comes from the old French "chef" anyway.
