My apologies to FB for not addressing other points raised in his post, specifically the claim that FDR used the Alien Enemies Act during peacetime. I assume he was referring to the Alien Enemies Act being used to justify the Japanese Internment Act. Pearl Harbor took place on Dec. 7,1941. The date Japanese Internment Act was February 19, 1942, well more that a year after the declaration of war. The Japanese Internment was not a proud moment in the history of the U.S., but at least we were at war, unlike 2025.

Might want to check your history books regarding when FDR invoked the Alien Enemies Act & when Congress actually “declared war”.

Also, the time period between Dec. 7, 1941 & Feb 19, 1942 is only a little over 2 months. Which actually has nothing to do with my original point, but I digress.

Your assumption of what I was referring to is also incorrect. But, you go right ahead and continue to ignore the verbiage in the actual law regarding a “predatory incursion”. Maybe if Biden didn’t allow millions of illegal immigrants into our country without being properly vetted, we wouldn’t even be having this discussion. Ready for them to move into your neighborhood yet?

I often wonder why you didn’t argue the law this strongly when Biden chose to ignore SCOTUS’ opinion regarding the fact that it was unlawful for him to continue forgiving educational loans….but continued forgiving those loans anyway.
