Elon risked a ton when he got involved in politics like he did. And really, was he going to run DOGE with all of his other responsibilities?

The result of his decisions obviously hurt Tesla.

I think it is logical the whole feud was staged. Elon distanced himself from Trump, but then started to get ire from the right. By making up with 47 he calmed that.

So in effect he is out of the political spotlight. It was his best shot to right the ship known as Tesla.
