not sure Trump would allow the Israelis to pilot the B-2. short of the UK there's probably no one else that would be more trustworthy than Israel. it's not like they might actually try to keep it yeah? there could be things about the B-2 we wouldn't want even the most trusted of ally to know.

clearly the advantage if Trump did allow it is it gets the US off the hook. we didn't bomb Iran, Israel did.

also note that even the largest bomb we have is probably not enough meaning it would take multiple strikes according to the experts weighing in on this.

clearly Iran expected an eventual attempt by Israel to take out these sites and the fordow site was built deep underground to counter that.

there's been talk of Israel using the weapons they have and then sending in a strike team to capture the site and destroy it.
Excellent reply. That makes a lot of sense.

Israel struck the main road between Tehran and Qom city 3 days ago - quite possibly send in a strike team or teams to Qom and proceed to Fordow.

Probably a suicide mission but if it has been planned for 6 months or more like the pager detonations it would be a feat like few before. Need plenty of air cover but they seem to be systematically taking out Iranian air defenses.

Ok. Thoughts are that when whatever Israel potential plans to definitively take out Fordow don’t work, like now through the next day or two…

We will be asked to go do the task. Too many tankers and F22s mobilized along with the carriers. Go troops and God be with us.

Because The President knows that it will take a certain amount of time to mobilize the different entities that will be involved.

It’s not like he can just pick up the phone, call “bomber command”, and say……”how about in the morning go drop a few bunker busters on that mountain in Iran”.

The President also has to have 100% assurance that the job will get done. If the mission fails, he will get the blame, as he should, since he is The Commander in Chief.

You seem to have a lot of inside information.

Why did Trump need to rush back early from the G7 meeting in Canada ?

Because he has more important things to do than sit around with a bunch of clowns trying to decide who’s going to fuck over the United States.

You do know he left the Secretary of the Treasury over there.

Two weeks? That’s a lifetime in Trump’s short attention span theater.

What could possibly happen in two whole weeks?

Israel / Iran escalates?

Israel continues razing Gaza and killing civilians?

Trump gets into another pissing match with (you name him/her) on social media?

The US invades/occupies Greenland?

Two weeks isn’t a deadline, it’s a stall. The big question is which of our quickly diminishing allies he’s trying to sweat out.

You might wake up tomorrow morning to the news that the Iranian Underground Nuclear Facility is now a crater.

I do not put much faith in what the so called “insiders” say, as their point of view is usually skewed by an agenda.

Netty knows the answer is the latter so acting now forces Trump’s hand and that’s why he acted now - unnecessarily. If the White House actually was honest about the intelligence answer (not give the actual underlying knowledge) that Iran isn’t that close the answer would be obvious to everyone. But they won’t be clear. Today Karoline Lies said Iran is within weeks. Everyone knows that’s false. Well except for Trump supporters because they actually think she tells the truth.
David Albright a former UN weapons inspector thinks Iran is six months away from having enough enriched Uranium U-235 past 90% concentration to get a nuclear weapon. However, He agrees with the CIA that Iran is not trying to make an atomic bomb.

David Albright, a former UN weapons inspector with a long track record of uncovering secrets about Iran’s nuclear programme, believes the country’s scientists could rush to manufacture a weapon “within six months” if ordered to do so.

This is probably why Trump is giving Iran two weeks to make a deal. If Trump's advisors thought Iran was closer than that, they would have called for bombing the Ferdow plant now instead of waiting for two weeks.
