Had dinner with my brother and sister in law last week. Hadn't seen them in some while. They are staunch democrats and I had been instructed NOT to talk about politics (yes dear).

In the middle of dinner he does bring up something or other (doesn't matter what) and in the course of discussion (with me mostly listening) he declares that he is now a "Never Trump Republican" . v. .much like Bill Maher, who hasn't yet come to realize it.


With the conversion of Elon Musk and Joe Rogan before him, we may have reached the tipping point on some of this progressive Woke stuff.

So, what prominent long term lefty will come over next?

Check around among those you know. There are some who are wavering.

Certanly the whole of the Biden years (Covid shoots, open borders, dementia deniers and all of it) has swayed many long time Democrats to the middle and further right.

The ridiculous Sidney Sweeney thing is the most recent foolishness chipping away at the knee jerk progressive agenda.

I think that The Catlyn Clark fiasco in the WNBA could be another.

Sometimes, aa soft touch allows the other guy to convince himself to come over.

Well, sometimes you have to give them the ice water plunge course of action.

At a customers the other day. They started to give me their "beliefs." Now, being a guy who likes to know the who/why/where/when/how/what I asked where they get their news from. Foxy they said. Well, when I heard that, I asked what they thought about their trusted news source having to cough up close to a billion dollars for lying. They said they never heard that. I had to give them the come to Jesus moment.

It amazes me at how many ppl watch that garbage station. Literally 1/2 of the content is a lie, and the other half or better is praise on dear leader. It's the propaganda channel. Seems Ruperts other pet project in NY- isn't playing as nice, and is willing to run the story on Epstein and Trump.

As far as changing hearts and minds- YOU GOTTA BE FUCKING JOKING. The GOP is pure evil and full of hate.

I'm a registered Republican- and I will NEVER vote for a fascist dictator/ authoritarian type like Trump.

What I will do, is have a party on the day I see his obituary in the paper.

In my view, one of the worst types of censorship is silence. Sadly, we see that from most "news sources" these days. I have heard this referred to as "lying by omission" too.

Ages ago... in NYC on an academic visit I had the chance to argue with Peter Jennings (in the conference room behind the studio sign that said World News Tonight. He straight faced argued that the term "quagmire" to describe the Vietnam war was not leading the audience. The folks performing the news are vile people who have no interest in informing the electorate...only in shaping it.

Peter Jen sings: What a classic liberal @$$!

Like so many of us who were over the age of ten In 2001, I watched the 9/11 attack as it happened live on TV.

What struck me was that Peter Jennings was nearly an "attack-denier", poo-poonig the emergency evacuation of the White House, and minutes later disparaging the, at the time, rumored attack on the Pentagon.

It was my perception that this attitude came from his liberal background opposition to the GW Bush administration.

Wish I could find video of that broadcast,.Jenningd . . .what a liberal @$$!

You ain't joking. Most Cable "News" is like that. Be radicalizing members of both parties.
