Default First Stephen Colbert, Then "The View", Now Howard Stern's Show Gets Cancelled. The Free Market Has Spoken Again.

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/202...-stern-facing/

Another big culture war loss for Democrats. Go woke, go broke. Silly Democrats. Will they ever learn?

I think that the case could be made that CNN and its fellow leftist cable outlets are also teetering on thy brink.

CNN actually used to be a decent source for news. I recall that Judy Woodruff ran a solid anchor desk. But then, I remember when Frank Blair read the news for The Today Show and Barbara Walters was their weather girl.

So you think that there isn't a forum for democrat or liberal leaning news sourcing- based on facts, vs. perceptions and claims of witch hunts?

I think you've mistaken the people at the top of these organizations, and their interests and have been told to stop with the Anti-Trump, Anti- GOP, Anti Conservativism viewpoints or else. Simply put- it's those in power, causing those organizations to either shut up and move along, or there will financial consequences. Prior POTUS' would never shove the 1st amendment out of the press or publications. It's the authoritarian regime that's doing that. Plain and simple.

If you need further proof than the trump lawsuits against colleges, news outlets, Law firms or anything else- you've been blissfully blind.

Most / Many have settled since legally that cheaper than a full out war against a bully with an unlimited budget. Doesn't make it right tho. Doesn't make it democratic either. Certainly doesn't make it woke. BTW- you folks who use that term are either ignorant of it's meaning or you simply use it as a way to yet further denigrate non-conservatives.

The Flat earth society would glady offer you a 12 month subscription to boys life and some coloring books for a dollar.

The View is not cancelled, unfortunately. I wish it was.

I disagree.
It is good for the American Public to see first hand how moronic the left can be.

It's YOUR side that's needed the coloring books and cry rooms ever since it was made clear that anti-Semitism and misogyny on campuses will NOT be tolerated anymore. Nor will "news agencies" be allowed to flat out lie without consequences. The tantrums of the left because THEIR hate speech won't be tolerated are hilarious. From the same people who have tried to silence conservatives by violent means for years. The leftists bullies are getting punched back and now they don't like it.

I would be curious if you can give us an example of the violent means you reference? How exactly are the leftist's you talk about silencing conservatives with violence?

... And I would fancy seeing us get back to the thread topic.

The REASON that Colbert's and Howard Stern (a former mate of mine)
had their shoes cancelled is because the money people $$$$$$
paying for the show $$$$$ determined that the price is too high.

Australian soothe-sayer fellow Confushiss got a good saying:

"The blokes with the gold can surely make the rules." ...

Losing $40 million plus a year with declining ratings is not a good way to stay on the air. Carson used to mock NBC, but he was making a boatload of money and people loved him.

... And THAT was me point there, mate.

Colbert WAS making money $$$$ for them just a few years ago,
and now his show is rather a sad albatross 'round the
neck of I reckon Paramount and CBS.

I look for late night TV to evolve to the center-left, with Bill Mahar surviving and ascendent along with some other liberal entertainers. They will be going back to a more traditional even handed sort of humor. . . .it would double scope of their humor.

This will be driven by those nasty corporate bean counters who on ly value high ratings and higher advertising revenues.

Late night TV in the form we’ve become accustomed to is on the way out. Not enough ad revenue to support it. We will always have something on the BIG Three but it will be less expensive to produce and more likely to have on air advertising built into the show. This will be true regardless of the shows political lean.

I agree, there are too many other options these days.

I read online the other day that The View had over 100 guests on the show so far in 2025 and not one was conservative.

Everyone of them was liberal and democrats.

They are taking a break in August before starting production on the new season which is something they do every year.

But folks on social media has used it to spread around false information that The View is cancelled.
