Default Solution to Gerrymandering

... G'day You-inzers,

... I had suggested that the US Supreme Court could
weigh-in and put a stop to the issue of Gerrymandering.
And one o' the liberal lads mentioned that the Court
will NOT weigh-in because it is a State issue.

... Then, IF that's so - WHY all the crying? ...

... Democrats are widely known for their gerrymandering
tactics, which Repubs have complained about before.

And NOW the Republicans are surely stooping to
the very same tactics - which as the Democrats all
screaming like stuck pigs.

... Yet, since I certainly 'appen to be be a fair-minded
fellow - I have a GREAT Solution to the gerrymandering issue:

... Since this is a somewhat rather "States" issue - the
gerrymandering may just continue on.

... So, NOW - I'm going to recommend to the Trump Administration
that they just RE-DO the last Census. ...

... And when doing that - take out all the illegal immigrants
that were counted as residents - as a great number of them
should be subject to deportation.

... So, THAT can thus yield a more accurate count of
the citizenry in a certain State area. And would then
be a more accurate decider as-to how many "seats" each
State would have in the House of Congress.

... And some of the gerrymandering can come to a halt.

... Please wish me luck and Godspeed with me proposal, mates!

You also need to change some laws or get a Supreme Court ruling on what whole persons means.

I’d settle for term limits.

Yes, please. A lot of these problems would simply disappear if one wasn't allowed to make a 40-year career out of politics.

Just drop a grid over the state with a number of blocks equal to their congressional seat allocation. Done. Those are the districts.

Take the total population and divide by the number of districts. Use a computer to create districts of equal population size regardless of physical size starting from the geographic center of the state. You might get some odd sizes but at least the process would be free from most tampering.

What about voting anywhere you want in the state- districting has a way of limiting both turnout and representation. If you live 30 miles away from a voting booth in "your district", but there is another one 5 miles away, why would it matter- a state vote is a state vote. I think Gerrymandering is a cheaters delight. Stack the deck, take your ball and go home bullshit.

... Nope... Just a re-do of the Census without mixing in
the illegals. ... A GREAT compromise. ...

Now, being skeptical, I don't trust a computer.

Do it by county, 50 counties, 2 percent of the vote, majority wins.

Last election, 80 % of the country voted Trump.

Liberal strongholds are the exception not the norm.

So you haven't noticed that ICE has been shipping illegal immigrants out already?
