Way back when . . .I had trouble with the shenanigans of Bill Clinton.
Yet he did some things that seemed to work; work requirements for social services was one, and Dem ocrats didn't like it that much. "Triangulation" it ws called back then.
What I am trying to bring out with that one example is that , in my view, policy rules. Most great men have character flaws, Julius Ceasar Charalameign, any of the English kings with a number, most of the signers of the Declaration of aIndependance and so on . . .all were great men in some way. We cn argue for a lifetime about just how great they were, but none were perfect . . .none of us are.
What really counts is what they did. In the case of President Trump, one can dislike him for philandering, for being a real estate creditor or for concealing the truth about this or the thing we think has earth shattering importance . . .but for the most part that dislike is not rooted in what he has accomplished for the American people or his vision for the American future.
I support controlled immigration. I support school choice, I support positive voter ID. I support negotiating with trade partners world wide. I support the fight against anti-semitism. There is more, but basically, I support most of what President Trump campaigned on and whatt he is currently trying to accomplish.
I am not a "Trumpist" cult follower. I support policies that further the interests of the Nation and American society. If President Biden and the Democratic Party had supported those policies, I would have voted that way . .but they did not.

I agree with the majority of the things you point out here. However- I don't think you need to have voter ID though, since it's a crime to vote and not be a citizen already. I think there are a LOT of people who don't have valid ID in the US anyway- and that can also be faked. ALSO- If you don't have a REAL ID, are you really you legally? Certainly not legally enough to fly anyway!!
BUT:
while we have to take some of the good with bad; overlooking Trumps level of bad is what is a bitter pill for the majority of non- or never -Trumpers. It's not the philandering, (hypocrisy on a hooker board), and it's not the Tax issues, or payoffs for silence. What is the biggest put-off, is the Grandiose embellishments and distortions of facts. He doesn't know what tariffs are, or how they work. He doesn't know how math works, and that a reduction of 1000% means you get 10x your money back vs. saved. H doesn't understand that while he may be able to rattle markets to get a result, it's costing normal joes their savings and losses in 401k's and the wild swings that the rest of congress is clearly being tipped off and betting wildly on, making them more money in months than in years. I mean, nobody doesn't think that DC is a swamp and that those in charge are not helping themselves to the trough of the swamp. BUT Donnie- is just the king pig.
And lets not talk about how he's literally the laughing stock of the rest of the world and hated universally outside of the ProTrump MAGA RedHats here in 'merica'. It's that which most people have a true distaste for the guy. Sad too, because if he was just honest about things, and would stop for 10 seconds about lies and deflecting blame to others, he'd actually get a lot more respect both domestically and on this board.
Till then, he's an idiot and never trumpers are gonna never trump.
Relative to Russia- where do you want to begin and end here? Was it all a ruse and made up to just paint DJT in a bad light. Meh. not so fast.
"Russia is where we get most of our money"- Eric Trump
"Nothing wrong with taking information from Russians" - Gulliani
"if it's what you say it is,- I love it"- Don Jr. - Hillary dirt
"Russia, if you're listening- please release her emails" -DJT
"I never said there was no collusion between the campaign or between people in the campaign". - Gulliani
OR
Lev Parna and The money Muraviev injected into our political system, as alleged, was directed to politicians with views favorable to his business interests and those of his co-conspirators," Driscoll said. "As today's action demonstrates, we will continue to aggressively pursue all those who seek to illegally effect our nation's elections."
Parnas and Fruman were involved in Giuliani's unsuccessful efforts to get Ukrainian officials to investigate Joe Biden's son during Biden's campaign for president.
Or lets not forget the Meuller investigation that found A LOT of Witches brewing under the guise of just being low level coffee boys, like Papadopoulos, Manafort or Mike Flynn. These dudes are all complicit and just the tip of the iceberg. All of them lied about their russian ties also! Why lie if there isn't any 'there', there.
But sure - lets pretend that DJT is always above board and not a dirty fucker who has ppl that are willing to do ANYTHING to get him what he wants. In Russia- that maybe where he learned those types of political playbook ideas, but last time I checked, we were not a communist state but at Republic- and that's illegal here. Those who want to simply dismiss DJT as a bloviated loudmouth, are missing the point.
We have laws.
Break those laws, and you SHOULD have to pay a cost.
Trump has been proven to be not only a law breaker, but nefariously he's a sexual assaulter, and prolific liar who when instructed by council, is atleast smart enough to plead the 5th.
However dismissing Russia as an influencer in our elections is being disingenuous.

Because the DOJ under Pam Bondi needs to use every means at their disposal in order to bring to justice all of the political Slime that lied, connived, and did anything and everything possible to hamper President Trump in his first Campaign and then his first Presidency. And then carried it over into the 2020 campaign.

It's a crime to consume alcohol while under the age of 21, but we still card people when they attempt to buy alcohol anyway.
Why isn't the mere existence of a law sufficient to prevent under age drinking?
Is drinking more important or critical to a Republic than voting?

Nice to see Salty mention it is better to wait than make their own decision about the truth.
But sadly, here is someone who does not want to wait: the President of the USA
Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump escalated his accusations. “He’s guilty. … This was treason,” Trump said of Obama. He labeled the former president “the leader of the gang” when it comes to the Russia investigation.
Absolutely ridiculous coming from someone who holds the highest office in the USA.
Obama had to reply to Trump's horrific behavior and statements:
The statement issued by the office of former President Obama said, “Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response. But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one. These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction.” Obama’s spokesperson, Patrick Rodenbush, also refuted the claims made by Trump and Gabbard, saying, “Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes. … These findings were affirmed in a 2020 report by the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee, led by then-Chairman Marco Rubio.”

I bet Obama hated to even bother to release a statement about this. I am sure he just wanted to say as soon as that dumb orange old man figures out what to do about the Epstein chaos initiated by his own doing and made worse by his mishandling, he'll leave this nonsense alone and move on to some other dumb shit when he needs to give his intellectually challenged sheep something to obsess about.

Any MAGA supporting Trump after he says this needs to leave his marbles at the door.
The President of the USA, claiming someone is guilty before an investigation even gets underway.
After many other previous investigations.

... Now, now there, mate... It's not that OBama lacks
a backbone to speak on issues - he has his wife out there
commenting every odd-day...
... But no doubt at some point he will be speaking on
the "Russia Russia Russia" phony scam - and if-onley
to lay the blame at the swollen feet of Hillary Clinton.

Trump saying someone is guilty while an investigation has just been opened, with no evidence yet presented, tell you everything you need to know about this administration.
Let's hear MAGAs defend Trump on this one.

... THAT is certainly EASY to do, Vita!
First-off, Trump is the one who was Wronged.
OBama and the others tryed to force Trump out and make
Mike Pence the new President.
And second, The FBI and DOJ actually HAVE THE EVIDENCE!
And you'll be seeing it soon... So PLEASE stray-around here.
... I surely wouldn't want you to miss anything! ...

You are defending Trump saying "guilty" before an investigation is completed and a grand jury agreeing a trial is needed ?
Just a short time ago you were saying wait and see.
It does not fit Salty.
"If it does not fit, you must acquit"
Trump demeans the office of the President every day.
Everyone knows this is just a diversionary tactic by Trump to get the Epstein developments off the front page

Gabbard and White House 'lying' about intel on Russian interference in 2016, ex-CIA official says:
"We definitely had the intel," Susan Miller, who helped oversee the 2017 intelligence assessment of Russia's efforts in the 2016 election, told NBC News.
