Sorry Salty, but I take umbridge at one statement.
I "AM" lower class people, when I went to first grade, I was placed in the lowest reading group because my father didn't go to college, my mother did, and I was considered "Improperly prepared to go to first grade".
My mother and Guidance counselor looked at my permanent record, which, on the GC and admins were supposed to see, and to clean it up before applying to colleges.
My grandfather, my father, and myself ran a successful family business for 3 generations, from an orphaned at 12 Grandfather, who shoveled coal on steam ships on the great lakes, until he earned enough to go to welding school, while living in hobo village when he wasn't on the ships, to me, our family has went from first born American immigrants, my grandfathers older brothers were born overseas, he was the first Devo born here.
Our family has prospered, made enough money for all of us remaining alive to live comfortably for the rest of our lives, and provide our children and grandchildren the same things.
Don't lecture me about being low class, I have went hungry in my very young life, while my parents were first starting out, and I remember it very fucking well.
You come here legally, you speak good English, and you bust your ass to save every dime you can, and then work hard as long as you can, to enjoy what time you have left.
For the record, I was the FIRST male Republican in our family, and, mainly because my poor Irish mother grew up in a poor coal town, and saw exactly what Democrats did to her people, including KKK coming to her hometown and murdering Irish immigrants, three of them.
She and my father always were passionate about politics, and, I believe the fusion of the D and R party results in a pure Libertarian, as I identify now.
I worked my ass off, as did two generations prior to me, and NO, I don't want to see my money wasted on useless grifters who can't or won't work for a living.
