You may be surprised to know it is referred to as The People's House.

Guessing you'll be equally surprised that The People are not allowed in it, according to you. AmmIrite?

Goes without saying how surprised you must be that the pipe bomber deets ended up in an FBI burn bag.

Chansley was arrested a few days later and indicted on six charges, two of which were felonies. He ultimately struck a deal with the government and pleaded guilty to a single count of obstruction of an official proceeding.

"Men of honor admit when they're wrong. Not just publicly but to themselves," Chansley told the court in Nov. 2021. "I was wrong for entering the Capitol. I have no excuse. No excuse whatsoever. The behavior is indefensible."

You might want to read up on 'the peoples house' a bit.

https://www.washington.org/DC-faqs-f...SAAEgKbjvD_BwE

From the US capitol website
Quote:
The building is known as the “The People's House” because members of Congress represent the American people.
The galleries are not open to the public during Joint Sessions or Joint Meetings.
Congress was in a joint session on January 6, 2021, to formally count the Electoral College votes from the 2020 presidential election.

Kind of a 'first strike'

Heavy Metal Band Gwar Stages Assassination of Donald Trump, Elon Musk Decapitation at Chicago Concert

I know very little about GWAR, but I don't think you'll find them to be 'radical left'.
Perhaps nihilist would be the correct term.

Answer that. Guy left the fold. Some would say he didn't like what he saw there.

Look at that backpedal. The killer was one of YOURS. YOUR people even had the gall to start crap at vigils for Kirk. Despite NO riots, looting, or attacking of police from conservatives. Giving pardons to the rioters and trying to change the narrative about that day is a crime all by itself.
Did you ever read To Kill a Mockingbird Txdot? Variations of the story occurred in the Deep South. Hunky Black Man has consensual sex with White Woman. White Woman’s husband or father finds out and White Woman accuses Black Man of Rape, to cover her ass. The racist white straight men in the community can’t stand that Black Man violated one of their womenfolk. Or maybe they know the bitch is a liar but feel threatened by Black Man, because he’s hunkier than they are. And there are a couple of closeted homosexuals too who want to kill Black Man, because, like the marine in American Beauty, they’re pissed off that he shunned them.

So what happens? The Black Man gets electrocuted, strung from a tree, or sent to jail for life.

That’s what happened here. The Shaman falls into the category of hunky male, and Democrats felt threatened by him. He was shirtless, painted his face, wore a Viking hat and wild animal skins, and carried a megaphone and flag pole. His very being, his existence, was an assault on the pride and soul of the metrosexual Democrat.

I spent significant time with ChatGPT, who couldn’t find a single instance of another January 6 participant who was sentenced to over 60 days in jail who did not commit violent acts, destroy property, or act as one of the brains behind the so-called “insurrection.” She looked for a good 4 minutes too. They gave the Shaman a 3-1/2 year sentence!

And what was the excuse? Well, the flag pole had a sharp point, and theoretically may have threatened people. And the Shaman left a note on Mike Pence’s desk that said , “It’s only a matter of time. Justice is coming.” And of course that’s bull shit. The Washington D.C. Democrats viewed the Shaman the same way the Southern Democrats, many decades ago, viewed the Black Man, someone to make an example of so others like him don’t get uppity.

I went back to ChatGPT and asked if any of the participants had evidence introduced at their trials that they chanted “Hang Mike Pence” or helped construct the fake “Mike Pence” gallows. She couldn’t find an instance of that either. “Justice is coming” is a whole lot lamer than “Kill Mike Pence.”

As to your belief that what the Shaman did was a felony, why is it that all the other nonviolent offenders were convicted of misdemeanors, including at least one who committed robbery in the Capitol? They were equally complicit in “obstructing an official proceeding of Congress." I’ve already explained why they charged the Shaman, unlike the others, with felonies. Why did he plead guilty? The poor bastard had no choice. When the Department of Justice decides it’s going to fuck someone over, 95 times out of a hundred he will be fucked. The Shaman was faced with a sentence of up to 20 years and massive legal bills if he did not make a deal. A jury in Washington D.C. was about as likely to be sympathetic to his plight as one in Manhattan trying Donald Trump.

And this is why I’m pissed off. It doesn’t matter whether the individual was an eccentric at January 6, or a Black Lives Matter protestor, or a poor black man persecuted by a prosecutor who wants to make a name for himself. Our justice system has run amuck. People know, innocent or guilty, they can’t fight the Man. And it shouldn’t be that way.

Two more items, in case some yahoo wants to RTM me or other January 6 posters in this thread. First, this is a reply to Salty’s Post 92 above, which was the OP for another thread merged with this one. So it’s not off topic. And second, I realize that the typical Southern Democrat of 80 years ago was a whole lot more likely to be racist than Democrats today. My comment on that above was just an observation.

Falling off the cliff? Post #114's for you Blackman!

You're a lawyer. You're biased. While you may be one of the good guys, defending Exxon and the like, it's bad for business when government quits locking up innocent people and suing businesses which did nothing wrong.

OK, so if it's 'performance art', it's OK to depict killing Trump and Musk....

Tiny makes a compelling argument for government overreach and a bias against the QAnon Shaman because of his looks and affiliation. And I respect Tiny’s opinion on this subject.

However I don’t buy it. There were a lot of people at the January 6th riot who didn’t participate in the violence, who didn’t go into the capitol, and who didn’t knowingly participate in the breach of the capitol.

He knew he was not allowed in the building yet he went anyway. He pled guilty to the charges.

He wasn’t entrapped by the police. He had a choice to make and he chose the wrong path.

He knows better now but that doesn’t absolve him of his poor judgement.

Left?

https://www.azcentral.com/story/news...t/86244067007/

Quote:
Phoenix police arrested a 49-year-old man on Sept. 17 after he threatened to attack an LGBTQ+ bar and told officers he considered conservative activist Charlie Kirk a “martyr,” according to court records.

Police said Treven Michael Gokey called the Solari Crisis Line to report he was feeling “triggered by political events.” In the 14-minute call, he allegedly threatened to “shoot up” Cruisin’ 7th, a gay bar near 7th Street and Osborn Road in Midtown. While he admitted to not currently having a firearm, he said they are accessible "because it is America," according to court records.

According to court documents, Gokey told the crisis line his motivation was conservative activist Charlie Kirk, a national figure and founder of Phoenix-based Turning Point USA, who was fatally shot while speaking at a university in Utah on Sept. 10.

IMO...another nutball...we seem to have no shortage these days.

Can you specifically state what exactly I "backpedal" on? Your blind rage is making it difficult to understand what you are trying to convey. If anything, you have consistently shown that you think he had a leftwing upbringing at home. All media state otherwise. Hence my asking you to show proof of such. Please stop taking the maggie line of yelling, screaming, expounding, etc. a lie so often that you think it will magically turn into the truth. I welcome you to prove me wrong.

The flauting of possesives and pronouns such does not make.
I REALLY think you need to take a time out.

Otherwises, keep smashing that button. Make sure you have a splint on your finger because I think you might do serious damage to it.

I wasn't much for the Matrix movies. Just that Kenau was given a choice if he wanted to see what the real reality was with that red/blue pill bit. Did not mean to denote politics with colour of pill in movie (though there probably is something about the colour in that series.)

Saying that the conservative upbringing of the shooter, which the above poster still can't own, and his dealings with the rightwing, seeing that it was acknowledged he use to follow CK, something brought him to a change that led him to do what he did.
