It is easy for the gents to say that a bad review isn’t the end of the world and that they are able to accurately spot them but I find that with many things in life you can have 100 positive things and the masses will get hung up on the one bad one.
In all of my time in the hobby and racking up over 400 reviews I received one negative one from someone I still have never met for refusing to see him. He threatened to write a bad review and he did. I followed all of the proper protocol per the site rules and contacted the proper mod with in the hr of it being posted and it took a half century for anything to be done. This was pre FOSTA/SESTA when the boards were super busy so it was seen by many people in a short period of time.. I take much pride in my professional reputation and standard of service so I took a blemish to my pristine track record to heart.not every gent is a daily or regular reader of the threads and it often only takes one tiny little thing to turn someone off forever.the OP has every right to be concerned with retaliation from a disgruntled asshat. So while I’m also Team Fuck that Guy, I also totally understand why she is concerned.
As far as deposits, I sit square in the middle of the discussion of deposits. While I have not crossed over to requiring deposits for all appts, I don’t know if you gents understand the magnitude of Timewasters out there or just how far they will go to still end up wasting your time, this jerk being a prime example. Yes many guys have been duped for deposits and as an honest provider, I absolute detest girls who do that with a psssion, but let’s be honest, these girls are almost always chosen from ……precarious sites with the gentleman having done zero due diligence. He was Crawling through Lists or Welcoming the Games . I’ve yet to see any alerts like that where the girl was an established, well reviewed provider from reputable sites. Not all of us are blood thirsty thrives working hard to dupe you out of a $50 deposit anymore than all of you are violent abusers looking to assault and rob us.
Stay clear of nefarious sites, Always ALWAYS do your due diligence and try to stick with reputable, well reviewed providers, deposits or not
OP, sorry you experienced this, but you’ve done your part. The OKC Gents are some of the best out there and will quickly call out a bs review. Water off a ducks back.
