And food stamps are paid for by...NOT the parents...but their neighbors. And they have to feed their own families too. So in point of fact, the children of the poor are the responsibility of EVERYONE BUT the parent.

Making generalizations like this about people you don't know are meaningless. Kinda even hateful and divisive.

I worked at a Walmart when I was in college. One of my friends was a divorced mother with 5 kids. Divorced because her ex-husband had PTSD from serving in Viet Nam. He couldn't even function, let alone work.

She was a fabulous mom. 100 percent "responsible" for her kids.

But she had 5 of them. And didn't get paid enough by fucking Walmart to be able to live without some help, even though she was an excellent employee. She got food stamps. And I have never regretted that some of my tax money goes to help people like her.

I would much rather that the rich AF Walton family paid people like her more. But none of us seem very willing to force them to do that. Higher minimum wage? Never! It will destroy us all! Instead, let's all help make the Waltons richer.

It used to be that even if people had to go on public assistance programs, they wanted to get OFF of them as soon as possible. They didn't want to be seen as unable or unwilling to work to support their families. Now too many see it as a badge of honor to take money from people who work, so that they don't have to.

We should always be able to find money to feed people because we obviously have it. We have a president who doesn't give a fuck about the law so now all of a sudden, we can't use other funds to feed people because that's breaking the rules? Give me a fucking break... some matters should not be based on politics but instead on human decency.

Whatever disagreement these two asshole parties have with each other, they should at least be able to put their egos aside for their constituents to do the right thing because there is no "winning" here when people are running around hungry. And if you want to let that happen, stop fucking taxing me well over 6 figures a year while helpless kids will be going without the bare necessities to survive.
