The first ever ZAPPers vs SNAPers poll
Let's say the Federal government is down to their last $10BILLION and there are two entities that need paid:
The Military member's salaries and The SNAP program.
Which would you pay and why?

Gonna need a strong military to put down the hordes of hungry women and children clamoring for a crust of bread.
Sorry, don’t yall prefer the word, “crush?”

The prescience of the presidio
Clearly, the military is one of, if not the, largest budget items.
It is just under $1 Trillion and the largest spent in the world.
The military employs almost 1.4 Million people directly, many with families. To be fair, it was quite controversial during the crafting of the US Constitution, which in the end, deemed having it a necessary and worthy risk.
On the other hand, President Dwight Eisenhower, in this farewell address, warned against the establishment of a "military-industrial complex", way back on January 17, 1961.
But at the end of the day; I prefer not to rely on hordes of hungry women and children clamoring for a crust of bread, to protect the homeland, repel invading armies/hordes and deter enterprising upstarts from even thinking about any of those activities or shenanigans.

Where's the doggy crowd?
donny said he was gonna cut demmie programs with the shut down.
This is the most plu-perfect, ideal time to rid a shit ton in the mega variety of waste.
Lets hear you maggies practice what you preach. Any goverment department that has failed multiple audits would have been shit canned long ago.
The military has those funds. So, why would y'all maggies zap'em more?

Apparently unbeknownst to you, MILLIONS of invaders, from over ~160 countries (there are only ~169 recognized countries), have been streaming across pResident AutoPen's lack of borders for years. Let's start with those.

It seems to be a bit difficult for you to stay on point.
Stop trying to derail or close another thread by expanding it outside of the OP intent.

Even a little focus goes a long way
No mention of audits in the OP.
No doggy's mentioned in the OP.
No mention of a shutdown in the OP.
Shutting down the military is clearly not a good idea at any time - IMMHO.
83% of respondents, so far, would allocate those last few dollars towards the military.

Maybe because the OP is demonstrating non-biasness?
Nice of you to ignore my last sentence. Maybe implication is a bit beyond comprehension?
But to state another way, snap is way behind in the amount of monies allocated to it than the armed forces.

According to current poll results, you seem to fall in the 12.5% bucket and not the 87.5% bucket. Hmmm... come to think of it, that's closer to a 90/10 disparity.
