Why would you NOT use a VPN to access this, or any other similar site?

I have Spectrum as well.
Btw, I have eccie.net as a trusted site in my various browsers:
Chrome
Edge
Duck
Firefox
And all are on my game machine and a laptop.
Btw2, this post is from an android handheld.
Last, I'll quote myself from above.

It's your browser.
Clean it out as mentioned above in post 2.
Different types of browsers may have slightly different methods.
Consider adding eccie.net to you safe sites list in your anti virus software.

I am on ATT, tried all the above mentioned. Even installed a NEW browser. Same results. On VPN no problem. On my TMobile phone no problems. Using my phone as a hotspot for both my laptop and desktop. (no Ethernet cable connected) No problem. It is not browser related on my gear.

There has been some blurbs about Cloudfare denying blocks of IP's because someone in those subnets were doing stupid things.

I'm on at&t so that could be the issue. Fortunately my VPN is free & relatively quick to activate, so guess I'll just stick with it for now

The connection times out when I try to load ECCIE using AT&T cellular network here in PA. I'm assuming AT&T uses their own fiber network for the cellular network backhaul. Switching to Comcast wired internet allows me to load the site.

"It's your browswer" - DOES NOT HOLD WATER!

Using the SAME browsers while connecting via a VPN (cache, cookies etc all left intact) I can connect. All a VPN does is show ECCIE I am connecting via a different IP.

A traceroute (I use WINMTR for more info) I get to a server called atlas.cogento.com then it dies when run outside the VPN

DNSChecker.org - ran under the VPN seems to intersect the Cogento.com network but from a different vector and allows me to get in.

So U.C. It is not the browser. it is the network routing.

Here's the error message that I am have been frequently receiving when trying to access this site:
www.eccie.net doesn’t support a secure connection with HTTPS

You are seeing this warning because this site does not support HTTPS and you are in InPrivate mode.
