Woah! How dare you call out Dem PA governor Shapiro!

Gas prices are flat nationally, too bad Shapiro can’t do better. I agree Shapiro’s performance is hilarious!

Why isn’t he lobbying to lower PA gas tax?

The national average price for regular unleaded gasoline was $3.07 per gallon on January 20, 2025, according to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) and AAA reports. On November 17, 2025, it’s $3.073 per gallon, per AAA’s latest update—a tiny increase of just 0.3 cents, which is within normal daily fluctuations and not statistically significant.
For context, prices rose slightly in early 2025 due to oil market volatility but have stabilized and dipped in late fall with seasonal demand drops and cheaper winter-blend fuel. If you’re looking at regional or state-specific prices, they can vary more (e.g., California averages over $4.50, while Mississippi is under $2.70 today).

Gristle never scratches deeper than the surface. I’ve posted many times that Pa has one of the highest gas taxes in the country. He just can’t figger it out.

3rd highest, actually. Didn't increase from 2024 to 2025.

It is expected to increase next July, though.

So, the tax doesn't account for why gas is more expensive this year rather than last year.

I do love when you boys use my lines, but you have to use them correctly and have command of the facts

As of today gas prices are flat nationally but higher in Pennsylvania according to you.

PA has underperformed vs the rest of the nation if you will.

Nobody said PA gas taxes have increased in 2025.

PA has underperformed vs the nation & we know PA gas taxes are high.

So why isn’t Shapiro advocating to lower PA gas taxes to give people some relief?

7 cents higher here today under Trump vs last year under Biden. So not just more expensive in PA, in general... but not falling. That's sad.

If you'd like to know what Shapiro is or isn't doing... write him a letter

Sorry Trump has held gas prices flat nationally.

PA is up 7 cents according to you. The increase is on Shapiro to figure out for PA.

PA should be flat like the National prices, that’s the benchmark.

I see. Credit but no blame. Can't be the PA tax so maybe you're missing a factor or forgot how averages work or how gas market dynamics play into this. We'll call this a foul tip on the first swing

What states are down and what states are up other than PA? I'm confident you'll figure it out.

I should have known better than to not fact check.

“Donald Trump’s second inauguration occurred on January 20, 2025. Based on historical data from AAA and GasBuddy, the average price for regular unleaded gasoline in Pennsylvania around that date was approximately $3.44 per gallon.”

Gas in PA today, according to AAA is $3.286. https://gasprices.aaa.com/?state=PA
