Too many young people now know nothing about that war and how our country rallied from this surprise attack to lead the Allies to victory. It truly was a war of good vs evil, and I don’t understand how we let the revisionists become the loudest voices in the room, resulting in too many people questioning the legitimacy of our cause.

To all of you who were inspired by the sacrifices of the Greatest Generation and served this great nation, thank you for following in their footsteps.

Today's media doesn't care about that.

Every year I scour the news on V-E Day, V-J Day and December 7th.

Those events are barely mentioned and not even on the front of the news websites aggregate front page.

Few more years and no one that was alive during World War II will be alive.

Over 16.1 million American men and women plus millions more in England and other countries that fought on the Allies side served during World War II.

As of 2024, only about 120,000 of those 16.1 million were still living and they are dying at a rate of about 150 a day.

I visited Oahu about two years ago and toured the Pearl Harbor memorial site. There's a beautiful museum and you can even step onto the remnants of one of the unsunken ships. It was a powerful day trip.

According to the internet, only 12 Pearl Harbor vets are still alive, all are centenarians.
