You're reading tone that isn't there, my dude.
Case in point. When I post a price or even this article about the price fixing class action lawsuit in the U.S. egg industry... its informational. But your brain sees TDS.

Enjoy the read

Your article references alleged price-fixing in egg markets dating back to Jan. 1, 2022. Why did Biden tolerate it for 3 fucking years?
As for your "tone" - anyone can go back and read your posts in this thread. You're still butt-hurt at the way our current Veep made egg-price inflation a successful pocketbook issue during the 2024 campaign. So you're trying to copy his strategy. Problem is - it's not working for you, and you lack the common sense to give it up. Next time oldman posts lower egg prices at a major supermarket chain, try biting your tongue.

Ironically, at $2.89 this is only 10 cents lower than when JV started whining about the price of eggs being too high. Same eggs that are $2.99 on sale at GE. Thanks for bringing it up.

Eggs are on the downside....probably gonna hit 1.99 in New Year. Due to bird flu culling and controls by farmers and affected states.
Trump and his agriculture secretary don't know shit. Brooke Rollins is an idiot. And of course the FDA...with brain worm Kennedy. These two are idiots .... Rollins protected Rick Perry in Tx and RfK protected nobody ever, just a guy with a (17 yr use of (forbidden topic)..just had a namesake worth DONNIE Felon putting over the Kennedy Center. (BTW nobody is going to perform there ever with his name on that building. Maybe the von trapp family) Or a shitty Chicago stage event...but that center will be deep in the red till The idiots in charge are removed.
Americans hate the GOP, the MAGA base is tapped out. Farmers are pissed, importers are pissed, consumers are pissed, the general population is confused and pissed. If the GOP doesn't reinstate aca tax credits, the GOp will be fucked even worse.
We don't have a perfect government, but we do have an imperfect Congress,; a group of people that are not keeping the checks and balances on the presidency, and they are going to be voted out in Mass numbers. Honestly I don't think it's just on one side either I think people will be pissed enough to vote out all of them.
It will be interesting to see if the Senate has the balls to convict Donald on his next impeachment whether it's due to emoluments, violations of the war act, or his everyday Sunday bullshit. But this is coming to an end soon

Newsflash to eye - it's already happened!
Don't you bother to read oldman's posts in this thread? Aldi's was charging $2.65 in July, $1.96 two months ago, and $1.86 today.
But kudos to you, eye. Ok everyone - let's have a big round of applause for eyecu2 for predicting something that has already happened!

Keep on ranting, eye. I truly hope you'll manage to get it all out of your system.
As for Brooke, I googled the simple question "What has Brooke Rollins done to lower egg prices" and here's what popped up:
"U.S. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins has implemented a five-pronged strategy, including a $1 billion investment in biosecurity, enhanced farmer relief for repopulating flocks after bird flu, reducing regulations, researching vaccines, and exploring temporary imports, to combat avian influenza (HPAI) and lower soaring egg prices, with early results showing drops in wholesale and retail costs as the USDA aims to stabilize supply and reduce costs for consumers."
How about that, eye? A 5-pronged strategy that's actually working! Who's the "idiot" again?
Can you even name Brooke's predecessor at Agriculture, the one who let egg prices spiral out of control in the first place? I can't.

Wrong.
This isn't hard to grasp. Presidents don't CONTROL the price of gas or eggs. But they can INFLUENCE them.
One guy declares war on all fossil fuels. His successor comes into office chanting "Drill, baby, drill!" And you say this dramatic flip-flop in our national energy policy direction is having ZERO impact on the (falling) price of gas at the pump? Lol.
One guy wrings his hands while egg prices soar. His successor comes in and rolls out a 5-point plan to cull and vaccinate hens, boost egg supplies, and bring prices back down. Yet you say those successful, common-sense policies are having "NOTHING TO DO" with the suddenly more affordable cost of eggs on our grocery shelves?
That's a hoot, Ratt! Thanks for the laugh!

The gentleman's name was Tom Vilsack, who used to be the governor of the state of Iowa. Rollins, like a good little Trump flunky, simply copied the prior administrations plan on biosecurity, including testing and inoculations, including pp&e for employees and keeping affected herds and flocks from cross-contamination.
It's not a rant or a rave, when it's true. This stupid cunt Rollins simply did what Melania did to Michelle Obama's be better plan.
Plus when you realize she's an attorney that got a stupid prick like Rick Perry off in Texas, that gives you a moment of pause to realize that she is simply a paper pusher, versus a leader. On the other hand vilsack, was not only employed by both Biden and Obama in the same capacity but also was a trusted base of knowledge. Unlike Rollins, Vilsack was ELECTED by IOWANS for being a long time trusted advocate for farms across the state.
Rollins by contrast has really only been involved in politics, vs farming,- outside of being involved in 4H or barrel racing in her teen years. Rollins previously served as deputy general counsel, ethics advisor, and policy director to Texas governor Rick Perry. From 2003 to 2018, Rollins led the Texas Public Policy Foundation, an Austin-based conservative think tank. She co founded the America First PAC w Larry Kudlow, the moron from the prior administration. Was more of a NFP cash grab and political group vs action grp.
Kudlow and Rollins are only capable as useful idiots. Hardly the deep thinking needed.
Vilsack's plan is exactly the same as Rollins 5 pt plan...stolen by Rollins from her predecessor. Almost all current USDA policy is a regurgitating from prior.

So I don't have to thank Trump for lower prices because he only influenced the prices that Biden only influenced.
Good to know.
Hillendale sale is over at GE. Back to $3.99 a doz. EB still holding solid at $5.49

So... you are alleging that Brooke Rollins simply plagiarized the 5-pronged plan of her predecessor Tom Vilseck, and claimed it as her own? You need to furnish a link for that allegation, eye. My trusty AI research assistant came up dry when asked to substantiate it.
But while you're furiously searching for backup to vilify Brooke and defend Tom, let's assume for the sake of argument it's true. Shouldn't the "stupid cunt" get credit for successfully implementing a (common-sense) 5-pronged plan that presumably laid unnoticed on her predecessor's desk, while wholesale & retail egg prices kept soaring from one all-time peak to the next?
Your rants are fun to read. They drip with hyper-partisan TDS irrationality & name-calling. I'm just worried your head will explode.

You make this too easy, Gristle.
You should blame Biden and Democrats for influencing prices in the WRONG direction, and thank Trump and the GOP for influencing them in the RIGHT direction.
Think affordability. Isn't that supposed to be the DNC's new mantra? Too bad they didn't pay attention to it under Sleepy Joe.

What does that mean? You tried to take your over-priced eggs back to Giant Eagle and they wouldn't accept them?
Boo hoo. Next time be a smart shopper like oldman and go to Aldi's in the first place. $1.86 a dozen.

For some reason MAGA can't grasp this concept:
It's not about finding the cheapest possible ghetto eggs, with no regard for nutritional value or sustainability. Ok?
It's about the price of our preferred brands of eggs - the organic, cage-free, cruelty-free, healthier for me and the environment type of eggs. And those prices haven't gone anywhere but up.
I never paid more than $4.29 for a dozen of my favorite eggs under Biden. They've been stuck at $5.79 the entire time trump and the couch fucker have been in office. They're still $5.79 today. Up $1.50 from 2024 prices.

I Like to Pay More So I Can Keep Bashing Trump!
Don't be a smart shopper then. Be a dumb shopper. Feel free to pay 3 times more to virtue-signal to yourself. It's all trumpy's fault that you demand "cruelty-free" eggs lol!
