Hey, look at Salty having no idea about European history from less than 100 years ago. A lot of German conservatives toed this same line at the time.

First of all, YES there is an in-between to the way trump is doing this. There is a vast universe to be found between "open borders" (as MAGA puts it) and having masked, jack-booted, unvetted, untrained thugs terrorizing American neighborhoods and their citizens.

Next, the idea that ICE is targeting "the worst of the worst" has been proven false more times than it hasn't. They're randomly detaining people who have zero criminal record all the time. They've even detained American citizens based on nothing more than skin color.

That's what happens when nobody's qualified for this type of work, and the guy at the very top, pulling all the strings, is a huge racist.

If all of this sounds vaguely familiar, it's because it is. Go crack a 20th century history book.

You also have "states' rights" - a concept that conservatives always loved until recently. This language that "Minnesota leaders surely need to comply" will come back and bite MAGA in the ass the next time there's a Democrat President (if he so chooses the tit-for-tat method of governance like trump is).

MN 2026 is ground zero for the new Nazi movement - and We The People aren't going to let it happen. Though I'm afraid it's going to get a lot worse before it gets any better.
