Default Phase II of Gaza Peace Plan fails to mention Gaza

Ostensibly Trump's "Board of Peace" is meant to guide Gaza’s post-war reconstruction.
Putting aside Trump's demand for $1Billion, uh, 'donations' to become permanent members, it seems very odd that the Board Of Peace Charter completely fails to have any mention whatsoever of Gaza.
Though it does specifically name Donald J Trump as permanent chairman and vest full authority for selection of any successor chairman.

BTW, has Trump said the US will put in their $1Billion?

This reeks of a desperate attempt to get that Nobel Peace Prize.

Are you kidding? He already forgot about the Trump Nobel Peace Prize and is out to rule the world.

He's looking to create his own alternate universe outside of the UN and any alliance.

He invited Putin, Erdogan, etc.

He thinks he's Doctor Fucking Evil.

By requiring a seemingly huge buy-in, the board members are are more deeply committed than if they had just signed up as though it was some diplomatic paperwork . . .like those commissions and so on with the UN.

Think of it as reverse graft.

This Gaza peace thing is what the UN is. supposed to deal with but never can.

Or is the $1BB more like an initiation fee at Mar A Lago?

Interesting....the Board of Peace that is supposed to be phase II of the Gaza peace plan...not only does the charter fail to mention Gaza, but the logo fails to show the middle east at all.

Nice gold touches though....

The Waterboard of Peace kicked Canada out after PM Carney disssed Trump in front of other world and economic leaders in Davos.

No soup for them.

The Board of Peace is made up of States invited by the Chairman (Donald J Trump).

Each State is represented by its "Head of State or Government".

The agendas of meetings where decisions are made are set by the Executive Board, subject to approval by the Chairman.

Replacement of the Chairman may occur only following voluntary resignation or as a result of incapacity, as determined by a unanimous vote of the Executive Board. (No term limit, Head of State, or monetary contribution requirement for the Chairman is referenced).

The Executive Board shall exercise powers necessary and appropriate to implement the Board of Peace's mission, consistent with this Charter.

The Executive Board Shall be selected by the Chairman and consist of "leaders of global stature". (No mention of Head of State or Government. Are oligarchs and CEOs considered "leaders of global stature"? Again, these are the folks who determine the agendas of the Board of Peace, exercise powers to implement the Board's mission, and decide whether or not a Chairman is considered incapacitated.)

Members of the Executive Board shall serve two-year terms, subject to removal by the Chairman and renewable at his discretion. (listen to what the Chairman wants or you're gone?)

The Executive Board shall be led by a Chief Executive nominated by the Chairman and confirmed by a majority vote of the Executive Board.

The Chief Executive shall convene the Executive Board every two weeks for the first three months following its establishment and on a monthly basis thereafter, with additional meetings convened as the Chief Executive deems appropriate. (These people are definitely not the representatives of the Member States---no way are Heads of State attending monthly meetings for this, especially when meetings can be convened whenever the Chief Executive deems necessary.)

Decisions shall be made by a majority of the Member States present and voting, subject to the approval of the Chairman, who may also cast a vote in his capacity as Chairman in the event of a tie. (Trump is the inaugural Chairman and representative of the United States of America according to the Charter, effectively giving him two votes).

The Chairman shall at all times designate a successor for the role of Chairman. (There's no other option given for naming a successor.)

Looks like Trump names the Chairman, the Member States, the Executive Board, the Chief Executive, approves the Agendas set by the Executive Board, and approves the decisions made by the Board of Peace.

When Trump finishes his US Presidential term, he remains Chairman of the Board of Peace until he decides to resign or is deemed incapacitated by the Executive Board he hand picks. As RX792P noted, he's the permanent Chairman.

I am interested to see who ultimately signs up. France and Slovenia already said no and Trump disqualified Canada because he didn't like what their Head of State said at Davos. Trump did invite the Vatican, but Pope Leo said it's a matter that needs to be considered, but there were concerns for the international rule of law. Trump and folks picked by him not follow the rule of law?

Heard today a reporter showing a Palestinian citizen that *had* a home there viewing donnys son in law plans for Gaza. They said it looked nice but wondered why there was no living area for the citizens there? Their summation was if there was no place for the citizens there is no place for the fat ones plan.

Looks like Trump ripped off the UN logo except he made it gold and the globe is centered on the US.

He’s been known to complain about the UN but what is going to make this supposed board of peace anything more than a grifting opportunity?

so, anything about the Palestinians as the fate of their homeland is being decided by this "Board of Peace" with war criminal Netanyahu prominently featured..

sounds like the French Riviera, with no mention of the French whatsoever..

does this mean Palestinians can expect an upgrade from their soggy, cold tents and scramble to get enough safe drinking water..

what do they get, exactly, in this new Gaza economy?

jobs? nah. too much to ask. indentured servitude, if they're lucky, maybe. or nothing at all. ya, it's a thing..
