It has never been clear to me why the US has historically been lined up with Pakistan rather than India.

this goes back as far as the Nixon administration and Kissinger's so-called "tilt towards Pakistan".

Both nations have a bering on the geopolitical well being one the USA.

Unless I misunderstand, your comment, I didn't mean "credit" in a positive way. I just wanted to point out that Trump is messing with our trade relations in a bad way.
