... What does any of that have to do with Don Lemon
- who stormed the Church - being arrested??
#### Salty
he's an independant journalist who is documenting federal law enforcement activities in MN. even in the church affair, he was exercising his First Amendment rights as indy press. he was simply documenting the protest.

I am sure his arrest has much more to do with him going into a Church or documenting the protest, lol.

... Crikey! .... That's a rather interesting take on your part.
So, lemme see --- IF I'm told that burglars are gonna
break-into a jewelry shoppe and - I - being a journalist
accompany them when they do break in and rob the place
- and the police show up - do you think they might
let me go IF I claim that I was onley there to document
what happened??
... Probably not. ... They'd arrest me as accessory.
Don Lemon is a Journalist. He has a major in Broadcast Journalism. He has been a practicing journalist since 1996. He was interviewing people during the protest not participating in it.
The fact that the Federal Department of Justice thought it was a good idea to arrest journalists doing their jobs days after the event took place is just one of the many glaring examples of how our government has fallen into fascism.
I mean this is Fascism 101. Arrest and intimidate the free press because they report on what you’ve been doing and you don’t like it.
We have a first amendment for a reason and one of those reasons is the ability for the people to have an independent press.
The First Amendment to the United States Constitution prevents Congress from making laws respecting an establishment of religion; prohibiting the free exercise of religion; or abridging the freedom of speech, the freedom of the press, the freedom of assembly, or the right to petition the government for redress of grievances.
I would recommend for all the people in this thread who think that this was a good idea to study up on the constitution and come back with a better understanding of what’s constitutional before making ill informed statements.

the 1st amendment is not a blanket to wrap around protests. Lemon knew perfectly well these people weren't there simply to protest, they were there to disrupt a church service and intimidate these people. that's against the law and the 1st amendment gives no cover for this blatant aggression. these so-called protesters prevented people from leaving, from getting their kids and protect them.
question .. is it illegal to intentionally disrupt a religious service?
Yes it is!
Yes, it is generally illegal to intentionally disrupt a church service or any religious gathering. Such actions can lead to criminal charges, including disturbing a meeting, disorderly conduct, or trespassing . These disturbances are not protected by the First Amendment, and federal laws, such as the FACE Act, as well as state statutes, protect the right to worship without interruption
that pretty much puts all this 1st amendment nonsense to rest.
Lemon knew these people intended to disrupt the service. did he know it was illegal? does it matter? Nope. but that dumbass punk knows it now .. yes?
this is NOT free speech. it's an ILLEGAL intentional act to disrupt .. wait for it ... protected religious WORSHIP.
Don Lemon got married to another gay man in NYC in 2024 at an episcopal ceremony .. IN A CHURCH.
how would Don Lemon react if anti-gay marriage protesters invaded his wedding ceremony? he'd scream bloody murder over it.
and it would have been just as ILLEGAL as what he and these rabble rousers did.
