New Poll Shows Democrats Are in for a Rude Awakening on Immigration
America supports Law and Order.
WHO KNEW??
New Poll Shows Democrats Are in for a Rude Awakening on Immigration
https://townhall.com/tipsheet/joseph...ation-n2670537
A new poll released by the firm Cygnal has shown that Trump’s deportation agenda continues to grow more popular with the American people in spite of the best efforts of Democrats and the media to malign the administration.
'

NEW POLL:
73% say coming here illegally is breaking the law.
61% support deporting illegals.
58% oppose defunding ICE.
54% support ICE enforcing our immigration laws.
Swing voters and independents overwhelmingly agree that those who have illegally entered the country have broken the law at 82 percent and 70 percent, respectively. Overall, 73 percent of American voters agree with the sentiment, while a surprisingly high 48 percent of Democrats would say that illegal border crossings constitute a crime.
64 percent of the total electorate feels that illegal immigration is a “very” or “somewhat serious problem,” while 61 percent of Democrats feel that it isn’t a problem at all. Swing voters and independents once again side with Republicans, with 71 percent of swing voters and 60 percent of independents being aligned on the issue.
On the issue of deportations, Democrats once again are in opposition to the feelings of the general electorate, with 61 percent of voters saying that they support the deportations of illegals and 67 percent of Democrats standing opposed to deportations.
Voters once again sided with ICE and its funding, with more than half supporting the agency, including 59 percent of swing voters and 52 percent of independents. 81 percent of Democrats said they did not support ICE enforcing immigration laws, and nearly 70 percent were willing to shut the government down to defund ICE.
“Democrats are living on a different planet when it comes to the issue of deportation and ICE’s enforcement of federal laws to remove those here illegally,” Cyngal said in their analysis of the poll. “Most voters are on one side of the issue, and Democrats are taking a drastically opposing position on every aspect of the issue.”
“This push against deportation from the Left is proven in the polling to cost Democrats electorally in the midterms if Republicans say strong on this ‘rule of law’ issue,” the firm concluded.

Well I , for one, do hope the Republican side is acendent.
The primaries are just around the corner now and there will be additional information to be digested.
Remember the so-called "Red Wave" that never happened, . . .and who we got instead.

how questions are asked matters..
do you think immigration laws should be modified and improved to encourage legal immigration that will strengthen the U.S. economically..
would you support able bodied, hardworking undocumented immigrants being given a shot at the American dream through a highly regulated, tightly controlled guest worker program, when studies have shown that this will enhance U.S. GDP and raise the standard of living in the U.S..
would you support reining in ICE from its greatest abuses, such as shooting U.S. citizen protesters whose only weapon being deployed is a cell phone to record abuses of ICE officers..
do you support ICE enforcing our immigration laws in full uniform, consistent with other law enforcement, in a manner in harmony with U.S. democratic values, and not kidnapping people off the street while wearing masks and presenting no identification..
as Mark Twain said, there's lies, damned lies, and then there's statistics..

What rude awakening?
Most people on both sides want this fixed.
The few extremists won’t believe anything that is presented, contrary to their closed minded beliefs ………be they extreme left or right.

Hmm.
Got two things from this.
1. twc knows how to post pictures from websites.
2. there was nothing in the polls about foreigners in this country going through legal means to become citizens that are being harassed, detained, denied access to legal representation, moved without being allowed contact with kin, and illegally removed from this country.
I ramble.
As stated, all sides want those here illegally to be handled by the process of law. Right?

Trump is hardly the first president to ignore due process while making large deportations.
many of these people have no right to due process to begin with.

Can you give us the percentage of those "many"? To clarify that for you, how many of those that got booted were the *worst of the worse*? You know, the percentage of those deported were *the bad hombres* that the melange one rattles off so frequent and loudly to scare the sheeples?
I did not question the veracity of the pollster, the website, or the low factual content of other sites you use.
Only commented on "there was nothing in the polls about foreigners in this country going through legal means to become citizens that are being harassed, detained, denied access to legal representation, moved without being allowed contact with kin, and illegally removed from this country." and that everyone wants those deemed by rule of law illegal that should not be here, right?

Since Cygnal is a private polling firm, who did commission (pay for) the poll?
Cygnal is a private, for-profit polling and data firm, not a non-profit funded by donors. It is financed by revenue from its clients, which include Republican campaigns, conservative political action committees (PACs), and corporate clients. Top 2022 clients included the National Republican Congressional Committee, Congressional Leadership Fund, and Senate Leadership Fund.

that wasn't asked about in any of the poll questions. and it's irrelevant as these people already have deportation orders. from the courts.

as a private for profit they aren't required to say unless the client wants it disclosed. you'll notice most of the various news outlets at election time will commission polls under their names.

I know. That is why I stated "there was nothing in the polls about foreigners in this country going through legal means to become citizens that are being harassed, detained, denied access to legal representation, moved without being allowed contact with kin, and illegally removed from this country."
Specific noun, please for "these people".
It has been proven countless times that "legal" people are being deprived of their rights and are being kicked out.
Sheeple do not take that into account when taking the poll. But poll they will.

if you have to put legal in quotes how "legal" are they? i don't buy one word of the leftist media hype that innocent people are being kidnapped off the streets and illegally deported.
