Unfortunately it’s not unlawful it’s just political. And the idea that there will be real consequences for these political actions is kind of laughable.
The point of this arrest is the arrest itself.

So, being a person that doesn't know this guy, don't watch his program (if he has one), and didn't see video from the incident, i'd like to know something.
Was this religious place doing regular services?
Was it a service that involved politics outside of Liturgy/Rite/Mass/Eucharist/Devotions/Prayer Meeting/Ritual/Ceremony/Celebration/Worship?

My understanding is that the protestors went there because the preacher or someone was associated with ICE. I am not sure if that’s correct byf that’s what I recall hearing in passing. Lemon was not protesting, he was reporting on the protest along with another journalist, both of whom were arrested.

Well, if the preacher was on the pulpit and the flock came to see him because of his outside activities, outwardly there is no problem with that.
If he was not tending the flock as I was asking, they should tax that place in a heartbeat. And not do a classic dictator move suppressing the media.

it was a normally held service. and even if the preacher pontificated about politics during the service it's still illegal to disrupt it.

True. And the legal system can only try Lemon on the charges in the indictment....conspiracy to deprive rights and interfering with religious freedoms, by allegedly obstructing someone's First Amendment rights by force....
Needless to say, "misprision of a felony" is not one of those charges. Nor are any other 'violations of federal criminal law,'

The "and even" would make revocation of tax exempt a must.
Than he can apostolize to his hearts content while Uncle Sam gets its tithing.

That gets thrown around a lot indiscriminately these days.
Addressing the host of posters who use that word, and now, quoting Andre The Giant in "The Princess Bride", "I don't think you know what that word really means . . ."
