The number one way to lower tariffs globally would be for him to roll back his IEEPA tariffs implementrd under his fictional emergency that he still hasn't quite articulated in any meaningful way.
You seem like the kind of guy that wants to preserve the water for the town long-term by poisoning the well to dissuade folks from taking a sip.

Take a sip of this
The United States is currently experiencing its lowest inflation rate in nearly five years, with the Consumer Price Index at 2.4% as of January 2026.

I know. I posted it already. Would be lower if not for Tariffman's tantrums. By a good lil bit too. Should be under 2% at this point

And don’t forget, the real story isn’t just the dramatic drop in inflation under Trump.
It’s also about a real increase in wages for the American people.
Trump and most of the republicans passed the Big Beautiful Bill, which massively cut taxes and made them permanent.
The democrats voted against tax cuts and so did Rand Paul and Thomas Massie.
Two Trump backstabbers.
Trump is letting the American people keep a lot more of their hard earned money.
He’s sticking the FED with the DEBT.
Bankruptcy.
All planned and timed.
Tariffs are working

PRESIDENT TRUMP: “Switzerland wasn’t paying tariffs, and we had a $42 billion trade deficit. So I put on a 30% tariff. Then I got an emergency call from the President, and I didn’t really like the way she talked to us. So instead of giving her a reduction, I raised it to 39%.”

Well, Bam. I think you need to read up on what the Tax Foundation analysis has been of the tariff impact vs the tax cut benefits. They seem to disagree with you and trust me, they understand this better than you do

This just in from the Department of DUH!
A year in, it’s official: Americans, not foreigners, are paying for trump’s tariffs
A new report from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York confirms what economists have long warned about: The burden of tariffs is borne almost entirely by the people living in the country that imposes them.
That simple fact — now learned experientially in 21st century America — is an Econ 101 lesson as foundational as supply and demand.
https://www.cnn.com/2026/02/12/busin...umers-nightcap
Anyone with even a minimal grasp of economics was screaming this from the rooftops.
But MAGA couldn't be reached because their heads were so far trump's ass, they thought tariffs would make us rich or something. At least the dumbfucks can't say they weren't warned.

You would think that some dim bulb kinda folks would have learned after Mexico didn't pay for the wall that when Trump says someone is going to pay he really means us.

Mexico didn't pay?
C'mon Gristle, why do I have to keep reminding you to take this shit "seriously, but not literally"?

No. They didn't. That's one hell of a stretch of credulity. It's neither serious nor literal and rife with fantasy and heavy rationalization.
If you do believe his twaddle, change every bulb in your house because you've been living in darkness for years
Even Fox recognizes that reality on tariffs and who is paying for them.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/tru...billions-costs
And some of them are very, very misguided and were poorly targeted and implemented... which is not shocking to me at all

No, Mexico didn't pay for the fucking wall. Whatever tiny amount of border wall that trump actually did put up, WE paid for.
Just like the tariffs. WE pay them. Just like WE warned everyone that WE would.
MAGA's level of deep delusion is costing them money and they either don't know or don't care.
trump keeps shitting in their mouth, and they keep choking it down and asking for more. These people are dangerously stupid.

Where's Trump at to stop this from one of his donors?
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...-b2921497.html
Good jobs lost in a move to China by one of his donors. No bully pulpit. No sign that the tariffs are a disincentive.
Wow

SHOCKER
From the article: The employees said the company unveiled a new plant in China in 2025, and that work has slowly shifted to that location. However, workers in Ohio had previously been told their jobs were not in jeopardy.
Workers there expressed deep dissatisfaction with the decision, with one saying, “It really pisses me off,” while another said they felt “betrayed.”
"Betrayed" tells me that guy voted for trump. Good. I'm glad he lost his job. The only way to deprogram a cult member is through suffering. For the good of the country, and therefore the world.

Considering the current market, this topic aged like warm milk, the constant deflection and microexamples trying to weasel out of the fact that the post is an epic failure notwithstanding.

The DJIA has moved from 40k to 50k since this thread started. Mr. Gristle doesn't care. If you point it out, he thanks you for the bump. Right or wrong doesn't matter, he thrives on attention. So let's give him credit - this is the second most-followed thread ever in the Pittsburgh Sandbox, with 142,669 views to date!
