The last 2 unconstitutional bills regarding this had cosponsors - one republican and one Democrat. Dusty ass pussy senfronia was the Democrat that made prostition a felony in ONLY texas. So yeah, it's really not a partisan issue in texas. Both parties have been trying to legislate morality through new unconstitutional laws. .

I said nothing about partisanship. I was deliberate in my word choice. The issue is conservatism and conservative values, regardless of party. There are conservative democrats. Their conservative values are the problem too. That's why I said rightward shift, and not Republican shift.

I wouldn't even necessarily label these politicians as having conservative values, Democrat dusty pussy senfronia certainly didn't in other aspects of her professional life. They are all in the same gang. I would call them authoritarians. I would like texas to be a more libertarian state, and just leave consensual adults the fuck alone, but it gets less and less so every legislative session.
