AOC is not ready to run for POTUS yet IMO. She still has a lot to learn. Then again, she is really no worse than Harris to me and Harris only had 3 months and still didn't lose by much.
I think it is just important that MAGA leaves with Trump. By the time Trump is done filling his pockets and fucking up this country, MAGA will only have the respect of the dumbest of the dumb. The thing is the Dems have been pretty fucking stupid by letting Trump back in with all of their mistakes. I believe throwing too much support at AOC should she choose to run would be reading the room wrong and that would also be a mistake because she needs more seasoning and to me, she is just too extreme with many of her beliefs that I strongly disagree with. Having said that, I'd take any candidate over any divisive MAGA scum who runs although I admit Rubio seems fairly normal and appears to be somewhat of a reasonable man.

I agree completely with the sentiment that AOC is not ready to run for president. Truthfully I think she would be a horrible candidate. She would be much better off as a Senator or Congressman.

Well of course MAGAs hate to see a young woman and especially one of color have any power. AOC is not going away and I expect her to move up with more experience. She is not ready to be president now IMO. I certainly believe once she matures a bit that she could be a viable candidate though... they should enjoy belittling her now while they can because her mistakes are easy fixes... I might not agree with her politics but she seems to have a big heart and that is something this country needs more of in their politicians although I am not naive and know greed will never go away and will continue to be a driving force.

She will never have what it takes to be President in America. She's a woman. Women should not be allowed to run for President in America!!! Nor hold public office.

I think her next step is the Senate, actually. She should unseat Schumer pretty easily, one way or another.

I sure hope so. Schumer is such a waste of flesh.

Another derangement symptom for the maggies. Wonder if they can handle two?

Agreed. I ain't bothering with any of it until candidates are choosen. Let y'all speculate on what that'll be.

With all concepts of their policies, I can't disagree.

Word salad or no: None of this should matter much. Rep Cortez could become as eloquent as William Jennings Bryan and she would not be the nominee.
Neither Rep. Cortez n or former VP Harris will be the nominated by the Democratic Party/. The progressive string pullers and power brokers will n ot run a woman again for a while. . . .not a whit e woman, not a hispanic woman and not a woman of mixed race heritage.
Governor Nwsom of California will be the nominee. The primary schedule and the super delegates will be set up to see =to that. If RFK Jr runs as a Democrat, the fixing will become particularly obvious . . .again.

While I disagree with your logic sometimes, your conclusions here are pretty well stated.
I think AOC wants the Senate, and eventually Senate Majority Leader. I could see her run for President after that.
I also semi-agree that a woman will not be nominated in 2028. But I don’t think Newsome gets it either. My best guess is Andy Beshear or Josh Shapiro. The Dems won’t be dumb enough to give Harris another shot. I think she would lose again, and the Dems know that.
RFK is ruining what little support his fringe gives him. The guy is fucking insane, and Mainstream Americans will totally reject him. He would be nothing now except for Trump using him, not to benefit the country, but simply a tool to piss off Democrats.

Yup. No way Harris is given another shot. Probably not AOC either.
RFK, Jr.? No fucking way. They are already starting to sabotage him internally on vaccine skepticism. He will be gone before Trump is. His massive increase in name recognition has not gone well with the general electorate. You won't hear much from him again after Trump.
I think Newsome is too combative, too controversial. Trump is the only one who ever really got away with this. And a lot of people are tired of it.
I don't know what the Dems do, to be honest. But with the way things are going, the White House will be theirs to lose in 2028. And they very well could, unfortunately.
