Default Democrats Don't Understand How The Game Works at the Top of the Pyramid

Democrats standing at the bottom of the pyramid don't understand how politics work at the top of the pyramid. Nothing will happen to Trump over Iran and what happened regarding the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

If you're expecting an impeachment if Democrats gain control of the House or Senate that's completely out of the question. If anyone has to ask why? They don't understand how the Democrat Party truly works at the top of the pyramid. Big Party Democrats stand with Trump on Iran. No impeachment will come to Trump. Nothing burger.

This is one of the most cold and callous things I have ever heard.

Saying it’s ‘not even debatable’ doesn’t make it so. The scope of executive war powers has been debated by legal scholars, members of Congress, and multiple administrations for decades. That’s just historical fact.

And for what it’s worth, concerns about executive overreach didn’t start with Trump. They came up under Bush and Obama as well. The question isn’t who’s in power — it’s how far that power extends.

As for service members, yes, they volunteer knowing the risks. That doesn’t mean civilian oversight and constitutional limits stop mattering.

It’s entirely possible nothing happens — that’s just political math. But framing it as some hidden ‘top of the pyramid’ insight makes it sound more mysterious than it is. Whether impeachment happens comes down to votes, incentives, and political risk, not secret party architecture. Sometimes it’s just basic calculus, not insider knowledge.

How so? Is truth not allowed? Every soldier, sailor, airman and marine knows they could make the ultimate sacrifice for their country when they raise their hand at the recruitment office. It doesn’t take away the pain their families suffer but it’s a dangerous occupation, some MOSs more than others. Oddly, the highest risk positions are the ones everyone wants but few can actually get. Rangers, scout snipers, or any of the tier one jobs wash out 20 guys for every one that makes it through the selection and training.

No one’s denying that service members understand the risks when they enlist. That’s part of the commitment they make.

But acknowledging that reality doesn’t mean policy decisions are beyond scrutiny. Civilian leadership decides when and how those risks are taken. That’s not disrespectful — it’s the whole point of civilian oversight.

Saying ‘they knew what they signed up for’ doesn’t end the discussion. If anything, the seriousness of that sacrifice is exactly why those decisions get debated.

SEAL team members lost at sea under Biden.
Sailor dies on flight out of New York over Long Island, Hillary quoted as saying, "isn't that what they're paid for?"

I'm waiting for the outrage...

The War Powers Act has never been challenged in front of SCOTUS. both the executive branch and congress operate in that ambiguity. The president (all of them since 1973) have taken advantage and the congress feigns outrage.

Unverified quotes don’t add much to a serious discussion. And the War Powers ambiguity predates any single administration — that’s the larger point
