Regardless, The fact is that over the course of his business career he’s declared bankruptcy 6 times and restructured debt (failed to pay back his creditors) to the tune of three to four BILLION dollars. Pretty easy when the entire city goes bust because they were solely reliant on casino revenue, which they had a near east coast monopoly on, and all the sudden the market gets saturated in surrounding states. There were once busses full of oldsters pouring in to drop their social security checks in a slot machine, then casinos started popping up all over PA, NY and Delaware and destroyed the market. AC was awesome back in the day, better than Vegas in a lot of ways, but now you can gamble all over the place, even on your phone.

Requiring documentation to get paid by the city isn’t some shocking dystopian twist — it’s how hiring works everywhere.

Anytime Mamdani faces a budget crisis, he knows (and has already proven) all he needs to do is request an Oval Office meeting with donnie diaperload, present him with some phony award and some flattering rhetoric, and trump turns to putty in his hands.
Every pet project in NYC will soon be funded by the federal government. Mamdani knows how to roll trump.

For starters Eric Adams warned about the coming budget concerns due to, well, illegals. Old Biden let ‘em in and bused or flew them all over and NYC is a big attraction. But those illegals aren’t free. Shelters, food, etc. They got help that wasnt budgeted and Biden and the Dems cheered at the expense of the NYC taxpayer.
Other budget stuff? Free stuff ain’t free. Does this model, and how Mamdani appears to be echoing certain aspects work in Cuba? Venezuela? Where did it work? Nowhere.
Lastly you know what the profit margin for a grocery store is? It’s 1-3%. So NYC and government cronies are going to set up shop and run this thing as efficiently as the experts and the public will see that level of profit margin as additional savings off of their groceries? Sure.
If food access is a concern I’d rather see him offer tax incentives for multiple grocery stores to move in and do what they do best. Let them compete against each other, the consumer will benefit.
Mamdani calls out first, and by name, a "White supremacist" for protesting.
Mamdani then leaves out the 2 Muslim men, Emir Balat and Ibrahim Kayumi, who were arrested by NYPD after they yelled "Allahu Akbar!" and threw a homemade bomb into the crowd.
In addition Mamdanis wife is caught liking social media posts related to horrific Hamas Oct 7th attack in Israel. Imagine another leaders wife doing that?
And let’s not forget the Muslim wearing a “property of Allah” shirt who shot and killed 3 and injured 14 in Austin, Texas.
You don’t have to live like this, but Dem border policies will only make this worse in the future…..
You’d be hard pressed to find a home in NYC valued at less than $750k. So let’s get this straight, you work your whole life to own your home, save up your 401k so you can retire. But upon death you can give half of your worth over $750k to the local government? You have a guy from Uganda confiscating wealth to reallocate to illegals.
IMO that number will eventually be lowered as the tax base starts to leave NYC.
