Money Making Advice
Figured id ask on here since there some of you who are relatively older and making some serious $$$. Any advice for someone earlier in their career who wants to quit their 9-5 to make some serious money? I make decent money right now but im sick of the 9-5 life and want to get into something where I can make a lot more working for myself, just no idea what to do lol

The key to success is absolutely asking this advice on a silly hooker message board.

Take a few extra night shifts at a nursing home. The shift differential premium pay plus other benefits makes it a worthwhile plan.
There are more than one way to skin a cat and working a second job can be a path to suck-cess. So don’t waffle on this one, pull on your newly shined shoes and get going.

Yes quit the 9 to 5 and take a permanent night shift. The pay is better.
That will also allow you sleep all day and claim you're retired. Avoid garlic though.
Get several phones and take advantage of those multi-line discount offers.

Head south of the border, there are several organizations that pay top $$ to individuals willing to import their products.

I was tipsy one night and had AI flesh out my drunken business idea. Maybe it'll provide value:
Business Plan: Posh Possets
Posh Possets is a luxury boutique dessert shop dedicated to reviving and elevating the traditional British "posset." By combining high-end citrus-set creams with exotic fruits, edible gold, and architectural garnishes, we offer a sophisticated alternative to the saturated cupcake and macaron markets.
1. Executive Summary
Posh Possets aims to become the premier destination for refined, chilled desserts. Unlike heavy pastries, our signature possets offer a silky, refreshing, and gluten-free luxury experience. We target affluent foodies, event planners, and the "Instagram-mable" dessert crowd.
2. Product Offering
Our menu rotates seasonally, focusing on the core chemistry of heavy cream, sugar, and citrus, elevated by premium infusions.
The Signature Gold: Classic lemon posset topped with 24k gold leaf and a lavender shortbread shard.
The Exotic Velvet: Alphonso mango and lime posset with a chili-lime salt rim.
The Midnight Rose: Raspberry and rosewater posset topped with crystallized rose petals and lychee gel.
The Truffle Honey: Vanilla bean posset drizzled with white truffle honey and toasted pine nuts.
3. Market Analysis
Target Audience: Women and men aged 25–55, high-income earners, luxury gift shoppers, and corporate event coordinators.
The "Luxury Gap": While bakeries are common, high-end chilled spoonable desserts are underrepresented in the boutique space.
Trend Alignment: Increased demand for "small luxuries," artisanal ingredients, and gluten-free options (possets are naturally gluten-free).
4. Marketing & Brand Strategy
Visual Identity: The brand will use a palette of emerald green, cream, and champagne gold. Packaging will feature heavy glass jars that are collectible and reusable.
Social Media: Focus on "The Reveal"—short-form videos of spoons breaking the silky surface of the posset.
Partnerships: Collaborations with high-end florists for "Dessert & Bloom" gift sets.
5. Operational Plan
Location: A "Jewelry Box" storefront—small square footage (300–500 sq ft) in a high-traffic luxury shopping district.
Service Model: * Boutique Retail: Individual servings sold in signature glass.
Catering: Miniature "Flight" platters for weddings and galas.
Subscription: "The Posset Club"—a monthly delivery of limited-edition flavors.
6. Financial Overview (Estimated)
| Category | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| Price Point | $12 – $18 per individual posset |
| Cost of Goods | ~25% (High-quality cream and exotic fruit) |
| Primary Revenue | 60% Retail, 30% Events/Catering, 10% Subscriptions |
7. Growth Strategy
Phase 1: Launch flagship boutique and local delivery.
Phase 2: Nationwide shipping using specialized cold-chain packaging.
Phase 3: Wholesaling to Michelin-starred restaurants as a "turnkey" dessert solution.

some are you know who and some are not. you know who doesn't post in the Sandbox but in Coed. and he has a biz already. why would he need advice on that?
if the newbie suddenly becomes a hobby oracle, that's a different ballgame.

Do you honestly believe one word of anything that fool has posted on any of his accounts? Tell me you're not that simple.
I only had to scroll two pages back to see a thread he started in the sandbox, so your theory there is bullshit.

it's well known "he" has a small business picking up dogshit. it's not for me, but more power to him. when i tried cleaning up dogshit while housesitting, i couldn't do it. it made me gag. i hired my maid to pick up all the dogshit. when the owner got back, she was like, "wow, you got this place looking great." i had to suppress a giggle..
call bs and i'll post a thread with one of you trolls right here in this thread acknowledging that "he" is a successful businessman. no one would lie about being a dogshit-picker-upper, would they?..
newbies are innocent until proven guilty. this is America we live in, is it not?
y'all already wrecked one newbie hobbyist's reputation. all because he said racism is a thing. who knew? now are you going to wreck another's?
