Imagine getting deported to a country that you have no ties to, no one to live with or help "getting on your feet". A lot of undocumented immigrants here go to places that have support for at least getting started.

I agree and disagree. I've been to both Germany and Japan in the past year, countries and populations that obviously didn't favor us in the not so distant past, and I have found the people are more welcoming/accepting and helpful than in the south of the US - which is known for it's "hospitality". But yes, I agree hate is timeless, although often misdirected.
