Idris Elba at this point wouldn't be a good fit simply due to his age. It would be odd to do a reboot with someone his age.

That being said, if they did a one or two film stint about an older Bond I would absolutely watch it. Elba is an outstanding actor.

007 as a woman, no.

007 as a black British man? Why the hell not. Most characters from older book series are white. Hell, Red was white in the writings adapted to Shawshank. Morgan Freeman was Red. Couldn't imagine anyone else.

I don't know who this Jacob Elordi dude but he is too young at 28 and the last time we had an Australian playing Bond, he was fired after only one film.

After years of incessant rumours, the news has finally dropped... We now know the identity of the actor playing the next James Bond.

The likes of Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Tom Holland, Harris Dickinson, Scott Rose-Marsh and Callum Turner were rumoured to be in contention for the next superspy, and recent reports suggested that 28-year-old Australian actor Jacob Elordi was the current favourite to play 007.

James Bond may be British but the various actors that played the character:

Sean Connery- Scottish
Roger Moore- British (my favorite bond of them all)
George Lazenby- Australian
Timothy Dalton- British (best edgy Bond)
Pierce Brosnan- Irish
Daniel Craig- American

Being white is ok but the actual actor that plays the character is what is the decision.

Idris Elba can play the role since he's polished enough and has a lot of intangibles for the role that said, I rather it be someone that is younger (30-42).

Daniel Craig is English by birth. He apparently has dual UK/US citizenship, which I did not know until I checked Wikipedia.
