While I will agree that most Americans want a closed border due to implied or perceived harms by illegals, Noem was hardly the one to give credit to. She was our cosplay Barbie who dressed up like she was going to one costume party after another. However doesn't take away from the fact that the Democrats fucked that process, and policy completely the fuck up and lost probably a lot of trust, if not the entire election in 2024. Trump's EO on closing the border and making it a political win was a plus for the GOP.

LETS not forget however that sleepy Joe closed it in June of 2024 also....but too little too late obviously.
